It's such a good build, but requires prime real estate for display! That's pretty cool. Did they just start doing that? I seem to remember registering online at the first of the year, but I had to get my card in the store. Either way it seems online is far more convenient than in store.
I got mine just over a year ago. It was actually through an order that I put in that ended up being canceled. But still got the card.
I had a couple of discounts to use at TRU (15% off thru email coupon and $5 from rewardsrus). I got the Empire State Building from the architecture series.
Great set, even if only for the figs. . . . (I still can't believe I got that set for $35 at Target using the 50% cartwheel!!!) There's a book 25% coupon code BOOKDEAL25 on amazon right now, can probably be used on the Lego books with exclusive figs. Worth a shot.
So, apparently CMF Series 13 has started to appear in stores, at least in the US. I wasn't expecting them until next year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hk4Si-1ykRs
I didn't listen to the audio but did he say specifically where he got them? I am assuming Toys R Us as they always put new Lego out weeks before official release date. Like I said, last night at TRU I saw the new Creator and City sets. No series 13 though
Some 2015 LEGO set reviews are up Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLeOHhE6XOo&list=UUp_mZttcKNIcUBVdi0wTdIA Batman and Super Angry Kitty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa7wlFrosH8&index=4&list=UUp_mZttcKNIcUBVdi0wTdIA
I can't wait to get this set. Not so much for the main content (though the silver Wonder Woman, her jet, and the new Batman cowl are nice), but for the Banana Co. truck and driver. The truck is awesome since I believe it's the first Lego tuk-tuk, and it's just such an incongruous thing to have in a superhero set. That'll add some wonderful variety to a Lego street. And the driver is even more awesome since someone on Reddit noted that he is, in fact, essentially George Michael Bluth from Arrested Development: Banana Man The similarities are far too strong to be a coincidence. Yellow shirt, white T-shirt underneath, blue apron, "running banana" design. Even the logo on the back, "Banana Company," sure sounds like "Bluth Company." There must be an AD fan working at Lego. This figure has singlehandedly convinced me I need a Bluth Banana Stand in my Lego city, with this guy inside and Gob outside it on a segway. Heck, I could even lines the walls of the banana stand withe little printed "dollar" tiles.
the set looks nice. like the new ww outfit, love the captain cold and invisible jet and of course, love me some grodd. but for $50.... no, $40 easy but not $50. considering what we have gotten before for dropping $50. i will get it but i will wait for a target sale. and batman and super angry kitty..... ooooooohhhhhh helllllllllll yeahhhhhhhhh!!!!! (steve austin yell)! so any word on when we will see the new marvel sets?
The only thing we know is that we are getting AoU sets, a UCS helicarrier and a dark blue iron man in one of the upcoming AoU sets. Still no pics. god damn it I WANNA SEE ULTRON
so is ultron going to be regular size or sentinel/groot size? because there is not reason for him to be hulk/goblin size right?
So what sets are you guys planning to pick up this holiday season, as there is bound to be some sort of sale going on? There aren't as many sets that stand out to me this year (last year was a different story with the Technic Mobile Crane Mk.II) What's on your wish list?
