Woke up in the middle of the night learning support agents were now aware of the issue and adding them manually to orders placed, so went that route. See it in my order status now, so... Hope I'm good! Just a frustrating night staying up late to try and get this ha. But glad it's working easily now.
So what do you guys think with this new digital instructions only with newer sets? If this is going to be the future, kind of sucks I think, though I get it.
I only use the digital ones when the colors are hard to see/tell on the paper ones (etc. brown and black in the Bonsai Tree set...the blues in the Starry Night set). Plus unless im downloading it on my tablet, its too small.
I guess for me, Lego is a "get away from the on-screen stuff" kind of thing, and why I like my daughter playing with it as well. She was playing with this loose Lego Mario I got in a lot and was having fun with it, so I picked her up the Lego Princess Peach set which was on sale and she loves it, but its so different! There's no physical instructions, but an 11 page booklet on other stuff (kinda defeats the purpose of paperless lol) then we had to download the app, and its currently doing an update which says can take up to 30 minutes. Im like geez, this is not like the Lego we're used to, that's for sure. She likes it though, and doesn't mind waiting. Different generation I guess! She's currently watching her ipad now while my phone is doing the update. We went from a no device activity to using two!
I like the Lego Mario sets well enough, but I hate the digital instructions aspect. I guess I’m old-fashioned but I just like to sit down with a physical Lego instruction book and zen out…
AFAIK only the Mario sets are doing the digital-only instructions. We tolerate it but it's pretty slow because I set up the app on our super old iPad. When you scan in/add sets to your collection the map expands which is kind of cool I guess. The Mario blind boxes at least come with paper instructions.
I've been meaning to find an excuse to buy that Ninjago combining mech, so I grabbed that and the new Lloyd mech to get Tahu.
Im guessing you mean online... It counted for me when I did the Blacktron Cruiser GWP. Ordered the Great Wave along with others to hit the requirement. The Great Wave was backordered. But since I ordered stuff in stock, they sent the in-stock with the GWP. Heard some who orders were only BOs, that the GWP didnt get sent til those got sent out...and some who didnt get the GWP cause it was OOS by that time. So order something in-stock too so they can send the GWP with that.
The last build of last weeks haul, Donald Duck Brickheadz. Along with the rest. Looking forward to the Disney 100th anniversary Brickheadz. Also eventually gonna pick up Daisy Duck, Uncle Scrooge with kids, and Chip & Dale.
Yeah, that's what I meant, thanks. One last question. Realized the threshold is a little higher than it had been reported it would be. I'm assuming $99.98 wouldn't count as enough? Or do they round up?
My one time experience says yes. My first purchase online with Lego was a backordered item. When it was delivered, the GWP was included despite it being passed the campaing time.
They tend to only round up for .99 it seems. Which is why I usually keep a DOTS set in my bag for such an occasion. Sucks that the rumors are that they're dropping the DOTS line because we love them decorating our house.
