Wow those look good! I’m not much of a car guy… unless it transforms, or goes back in time, or drives Batman around.
I hope I can find it in-store so immediately after purchasing it I can tell the cashier "this is my swamp."
The Lego cars whether it be Icons(these 18+ branded ones) and Speed Champions is what is keeping me in building blocks right now. I'm just not too interested in a lot of branded stuff but I'm ABSOLUTELY into cars. Lego absolutely needs to do a '71 Oldsmobile 442 now.
Yeah, it's pretty big. On the Lego website you can download instructions for two alternate builds based on the other classic space vehicles. Those are smaller, but the same concept of a modern version of a classic design. Perhaps the middle size fits better?
Any hints yet on if/when they may finish the Simpsons line up with hopefully a third and final CMF set? Of undone iconic characters that would suit the existing minifigure style established in S1 & 2, it occurred to me recently that there is still a series-friendly roster of 16-18 real humdingers remaining. Namely: 1./ Moe, obviously! (accessories: duff beer mug & bar towel) 2./ Principal Skinner (with assembly mike & podium) 3./ Agnes Skinner (with rocking chair) 4./ ("Hi! I'm ...") Troy McClure (with alternate shouting/bearded head & costume from 'Stop The Planet of The Apes I Want to Get Off!') 5./Kent Brockman (with news desk and papers.) 6./ Sideshow Bob (with a large knife, obviously) 7./ Rev Lovejoy (with Bible) 8./ Maude Flanders (with "Praise World" statue) 9./ Todd Flanders (with ice cream cone & alternate sad face) 10./ Gerald Sampson (with pram) 11./ Sherri & Terri (accessories: each other!) 12./ Kang (with tiny globe & "Earth Capital" placard) 13 & 14./ Lenny & Carl (with Duff beers & nuclear plant control console) 15./ Bumblebee man (with swatter) 16./ Lyle Lanley, "Monorail!" guy (with piano, cane & straw boater) Okay, so Terri & Sherri count as one (don't they always? ) and maybe the missing Otto or Mayor Quimby could sub in for Todd Flanders (mainly here to accompany his mother.) But the point is .... easily enough well known characters for another full 16, give or take. They really need to complete the trilogy, imo. Any thoughts appreciated on your own picks (outraged Barney fans included ) and whether this selection could work.
YES! Just looked online to see if my Great Wave backorder (since 1/1) had a update. It's now "In Warehouse"
Will the Lion Knight Castle count towards the BIONICLE set? I want to buy it but was hoping to snag something with it as a bonus. It’s technically an Icons set so I don’t know if that counts.
I believe the Simpsons line is cancelled. So don't count on more minifigures to come. I'm stumped too. I really wanted a Moe minifigure.
Noooooooooooooooooooo! I hope that hasn't officially been confirmed ... yet. Last I heard in mid-2019 Matt Groening let slip that more sets were 'likely.' Link below: Will We Get More LEGO Simpsons Sets? - Brickfinder
I was asking about that a couple of days ago. But I was told it will only make like the top 20 or 30 before they all vote to make it into a set.
Just in case anyone cares... I took a follow-up survey to one I took a few nights ago showing a clip of the Lego Dreamzzz cartoon; this follow-up showed boxes for some of the sets. They showed a blue bunny mecha, a mecha with a green blob for a head, a "Fantastical Treehouse", a "Nightmare Shark Ship" (basically a flying pirate ship with a giant shark head on the front), and a turtle van (not the TMNT one, but literally a green camper van with a turtle head and legs).
That's pretty great that they put the alternate model instructions online. That said, I am so enamored with the main build's features that I'd hate to lose any of them in the alt builds. Plus, it looks like there's not quite enough parts to build both alt builds at once, and if I'm not building the big boy, I want to use as many bricks as possible.
Hey if Simpsons, Friends, Pooh and a typewriter can be sets, why not Shrek? I thought hell would freeze over before we got anything Bionicle that wasn't a cameo or mini build, and now look!
So is Dreamzzz going to be their new IP? Seems like they haven't done those too much anymore, and what ones they do make never seem to last long.
Ninjago is too freakin' popular. They keep trying to phase it out, with Chima, and then Nexo Knights, but neither matched Ninjago's sales figures to be able to quietly retire it.
