Thanks. Bricklink shows it as a City set that came out in 2010.

If a Lego idea reaches 10,000 backers, does that mean it will be made?

No. It is only eligible to go before a review board. If 30 ideas in that time frame get to 10000 only one maybe two will see a release. Also they are licensing fees or IP holders that can squash its chances.

OK, Just that the Shrek set that was put up reached 10,000 backers. Even the guy who created it wants to do a Minifigure Series of Shrek.

How awesome would it be if Lego got the license to do Mega Man helmets? I would definitely buy Mega Man, Protoman, X and Zero.

I had sworn off LEGO over a decade ago when it got too pricey for me and I got frustrated with covering Star Wars. Then a friend told me that the Galaxy Explorer was half off at WM and I found it was also on their site, so I caved, 1200+ with a build that speaks to so much of what I like to do in LEGO for $50. My girlfriend had never built any LEGO before and this seemed like a bonding experience. A day later it went off sale. It arrived in good shape (I told a friend about the sale and WM sent him someone else's package by accident, so I am lucky enough), and a day later we cleared the coffee table and got to it. It's a great build, very much a love-letter to LEGO's last 40 years, it has some great new ideas going on. It took about 4 hours, although the first hour went slowly showing my girlfriend how to work with various bricks and Technic goodies. Instructions were colorful and informative, nothing was wrong or terribly confusing. The finished build was surprisingly not flimsy, everything works pretty well and looks great, and the airlock in back is the icing on the cake. No stickers, it's all printed, and there's some great tile graphics. This is possibly my final LEGO build ever, and I'm glad I have it, but at 20"x12" I am not sure where it's going to go. :D

The Lego cars whether it be Icons(these 18+ branded ones) and Speed Champions is what is keeping me in building blocks right now. I'm just not too interested in a lot of branded stuff but I'm ABSOLUTELY into cars.

Lego absolutely needs to do a '71 Oldsmobile 442 now.

    Yeah, it's pretty big.

On the Lego website you can download instructions for two alternate builds based on the other classic space vehicles. Those are smaller, but the same concept of a modern version of a classic design. Perhaps the middle size fits better?

Any hints yet on if/when they may finish the Simpsons line up with hopefully a third and final CMF set? Of undone iconic characters that would suit the existing minifigure style established in S1 & 2, it occurred to me recently that there is still a series-friendly roster of 16-18 real humdingers remaining. Namely:

    1./ Moe, obviously!
(accessories: duff beer mug & bar towel)

    2./ Principal Skinner
    (with assembly mike & podium)

    3./ Agnes Skinner
    (with rocking chair)

    4./ ("Hi! I'm ...") Troy McClure
(with alternate shouting/bearded head & costume from 'Stop The Planet of The Apes I Want to Get Off!')

    [IMG] [IMG]

    5./Kent Brockman
    (with news desk and papers.)

    6./ Sideshow Bob
    (with a large knife, obviously)

    7./ Rev Lovejoy
    (with Bible)

    8./ Maude Flanders
    (with "Praise World" statue)

    9./ Todd Flanders
(with ice cream cone & alternate sad face)

    10./ Gerald Sampson
    (with pram)

    11./ Sherri & Terri
    (accessories: each other!)

    12./ Kang
(with tiny globe & "Earth Capital" placard)

    13 & 14./ Lenny & Carl
(with Duff beers & nuclear plant control console)

    15./ Bumblebee man
    (with swatter)

    16./ Lyle Lanley, "Monorail!" guy
(with piano, cane & straw boater)

Okay, so Terri & Sherri count as one (don't they always? o_O ) and maybe the missing Otto or Mayor Quimby could sub in for Todd Flanders (mainly here to accompany his mother.) But the point is .... easily enough well known characters for another full 16, give or take. They really need to complete the trilogy, imo.

Any thoughts appreciated on your own picks (outraged Barney fans included :drunk ) and whether this selection could work. :D

Just looked online to see if my Great Wave backorder (since 1/1) had a update. It's now "In Warehouse"
