I just realized that is a big, 'DUH' since we're all here on a toy forum.

 

@OCProwl - You'll be spending more money in a just a few days time other than Lego and 52toys.  

 

Just started building 71738 Ninjago Legacy Zane's Titan Mech and I noticed that a part in the bag is different to what's shown in the instructions. Actually, I don't remember ever seeing this part before. It's the 1x2 plate with a stud one end and a top clip the other. What's shown in the instructions, and what I've seen previously, is the part where the clip has flat outer edges that make it more angular and a centre groove. But the pieces provided have a more standard, rounded clip like you'd get on a 1x1 tile with a clip on top.
Has anyone else that owns this set noticed this? Has Lego discontinued the old design for this part in favour of the other (new?) one?
Everything still works the same, I just had curiosity.

 

At least this morning, debacle or not, was a cakewalk compared to the other prospect. * gently blows dust off F5 key * Ready!

I guess you have not been catching up on the news lately @Vector Oracle (now you know).

At least Lego doesn't cause you to blow a short fuse and that you can get a set later (unlike the latter which is shortly mass produced and costs way more [unless you also collect 1/6th figures or "Action Figure Dolls"]).

Yeah, Lego is only a minor annoyance compared to other pre-orders. Don't get me wrong, they do have their own annoyances (cancelled overselling of sets, lost in the internet orders, shipping wrong items, etc.) just not that bad.

Oh man, that is sad to watch. Very cool collection, I hope it goes to some collector who will treasure it and display them like he did.

Thanks for the heads up! Only problem there is I’m trying to get that Monkey Kid stuff, not Star Wars. I’m sure I can find SW I want but damn.  

 

R2 is right there!!! I know he doesn't transform, but you still get a robot.

 

I forgot all the out of stock Monkie Kid stuff went back in stock recently. They're cool but they make too many sets for me to collect, haha!

Hmm, I see room for the newer R2 on that table. Oddly enough I never bought that kit even though I'm a huge R2 fan. I think it was because it didn't look right with the motor/unit as the third leg.

 

The kit is for my kids and mainly got it to let them mess with the coding. Will see how it goes.
