My partial January 31st order showed up yesterday. Monster Book of Monsters, Clock Tower and GWP Icerink. Just waiting on The Knight Bus and voila.
So last night my wife just up and decided to start building the Story of Nian by herself, while I was going around doing chores and stuff. Later as she continued working on it, I remarked to her about how she seemed to be having fun and she smiled and said "yeah, it's cathartic!" I laughed and told her she was starting to understand why I enjoy it so much. She ended up finishing the building part of the set, I asked if I could do the lion and she sort of reluctantly said "fine, but that's the best part!" LOL So I got to do that and she went to sleep. This set is nice but the building is really just a fancy wall, so a bit less impressive than the Spring Lantern Festival. The lion though is very cool, much of the build was similar to Elves dragons. Our little New Year village is looking pretty nice now with the new additions, I'll try to post some pics later.

Yeah, I think my Medieval Blacksmith was also missing the chocolate box and flower GWP. Not sure what's up with that. I'd send a message to customer service. If they're not able to send out the GWP, they can at least give you some bonus VIP Points. They did that with me when they messed up another GWP in a past order of mine.
GWPs sometimes ship separately. I'd double-check your invoice to see if it was supposed to be included on your shipment. Just finished LED wiring up my Fire Brigade modular. The fire engine has a battery case for 2 x 2032s to power its lights, but I don't care if the car is "tethered" to the building so I've ordered a 12" wire to connect the engine to the building's HUB box, which will allow it to draw power from of the USB outlet rather than worrying about batteries (and a manual on switch). I have to keep reminding myself that I'm trying to pace these light sets out to one per month. Every time I see those buildings light up (have them on a timer), I immediately want to just finish them all off. ...well, except for the Town Hall and Bank sets because Briksmax oddly doesn't have sets for those yet. If I get down to the end of the year, and they've still not put them out, I'll have to go with Lightailing instead. Although I'd prefer to keep to Briksmax if possible since I think I can daisy-chain the HUBs and use less USB outlets overall.
I'm still waiting for a sale of sorts (usually I'm able to get 20% off even Creator sets, eventually) but FYI they usually have it at The Big Shop at Legoland. At 10% off I've been tempted a few times, but my wife hasn't been fully on board (she's quick to point out that I have the Barracuda Bay set which I haven't build yet).
Yet you hide the shark. That kit looks really cool built. Thanks for sharing the photos of it. Quick, build it so she can stop nagging you about it. Could always have her build it since she mentions it.
I need to buy that at some point. Like OCProwl, I’ve also been waiting for a sale. Maybe I can bug somebody I know for a Target giftcard...
