The helmet of the 2021 TIE Fighter Pilot has also been updated with crisper details on the mouth and looks to be more accurate to its on screen counterpart than the 2018 version. That and NI-L8 is pretty cool as both a droid minifig and with an awesome name.

These are awesome, reminds me of the kids book "The 12 Sleighs of Christmas" by Sherri Duskey Rinker (Author), Jake Parker (Illustrator)

The joke is that Lego has never produced a proper mini-fig scale AT-RT, they're always massively oversized, so fans have been coming up with their own designs in years that match the actual size of the vehicle compared to Lego's "AT-STs without armour" builds.

It's almost like Lego thinks the damn thing is supposed to be this giant vehicle when it should only be a little over twice a mini-fig's height.

It's not just AT-RTs. Most small-scale vehicles are oversized, and not just in Star Wars (just look at all the giant, semi-truck sized Batmobiles we've gotten). I think it's more a playability/detail/stability deal than it is Lego not knowing what size it's supposed to be. I'm sure kids are more concerned with having a big, playable, well-detailed model than they are with Minifig scale accuracy.

Of course, a scale accurate walker would be nice to have. Might be a good model for a Battle Pack.

Oh I totally get that regard, but after twenty years you'd think they'd try it at least once.

Oh, I get it (I own two official ones). It really is atrocious.
I wonder if you could plop a normal 3.75'' Star Wars action figure on it and it would work scale-wise. Hmmm....

Yeah, now that you mention it, I'm surprised we haven't gotten something like a Battle Pack with one or as an additional model in a larger set like a Clone Turbo Tank. Anything.

Speaking of things that have never been done: Zane's Titan Mech has knees.

Interesting! I’d better read this set’s instructions on how they did this.

I just learned this thing existed... while searching for Lego sets my dad might want to build.

Lego needs to make the Dad-Bod mini-figure mold first.

I found this little Christmas Tree set the other day at Wal-Mart and thought it was awesome, I had to grab it. Now I just gotta get a little Santa to go with it!

That's a cool idea, one I've not seen before. As for LEGO mecha and knees, there have been a few others that had knees, but unfortunately they're the exception rather than the rule. I'm glad to see that the designer, Niek van Slagmaat, incorporated them into this update of an earlier mech from a few years ago (I have the original, and this design is both larger and far more detailed and stylized than the original). I doesn't hurt that Niek is a mecha fan in general, and a Gurren Lagann fan in particular. Judging by what he's done here, I hope he's involved in many more mecha sets down the road. I so wish they'd do their own series with transforming bots. A step in the right direction, Niek also designed this year's Phantom Fire Truck 3000 for the Hidden Side line, which features a mech that folds up and forms the back half of the truck. It reminds me of the Galaxy Squad Vermin Vaporizer, which also had a small mech that mounted in the back of the vehicle. Unlike that mech, which basically sat slightly hunched in the back, the fire truck's mech becomes about 90 percent of the back half of the truck, is larger, and has much more complex articulation than its spiritual predecessor. I wish they'd do more stuff like it.

Just noticed the use of pink bee-hive pieces being used as thrusters on that leg- awesome!

Has anyone opened a case with FedEx? Did it get resolved? Just noticed you could do that when tracking a package. It either got delivered to the wrong house/apt or they took it thinking it was a PS5 rofl.

Love that creator mech! Definite purchase. Might pick up the lion too. The Ninjago stuff looks visually appealing with the jungle island design but I have no real vested interest in the theme outside of the movie.

Wow, that mech does look nice! Might have to pick that one up. Looks like it'd be a nice companion set to this year's Space Rover. Considering the little green alien dude, I wonder if that was the intent?

Also really digging that Jungle Dragon from Ninjago.
