Bought two of the 501st battle packs and built the first of these.

The appeal is very much in the figures: two battle droids and four 501st troopers, but a bit of shame they gave them white arms without blue striping (if striping wasn't possible, I would've preferred them going with blue arms).

The speeder bike and the walker are nice, but too large. You really buy them for the mini figures and I didn't even apply the stickers to the vehicles: will likely be taken them apart again soonish. That said, it's always interesting to see how Lego can come up with different solutions for the same basic design.

Now waiting for my b-day later this month to get the Ahsoka set and looking for a nice deal for the AT-AT and throne room duel.

CDA41B82-66E0-40DA-9FF1-0D55F95EC80B.png Watched several YouTube videos reviewing LEGO grand piano. I’m so disappointed! Not only do the keys have nothing to do with the music, but also look at this! Is this the song “happy birthday to you”?!

Thought I'd never get this guy and it's not the $30 deal at Wal-Mart, but $50 is plenty good for me!

Ooo I guess the one I was looking at in Walmart was a newer version.

I love the old Model team sets, but the large steering racks always irritated me on the technic sets from the 80's and 90's. The steering "upright" always sits flush for the wheel, rather than inside because it's too big so to me, the steering action always looked really off.

No doubt it's a huge set. I don't think people realize how big it actually is unless they see it in person. If you don't have a good way to display it, I can see how one would grow tired of it. My wife was the one who encouraged me to buy it when it was first announced. The first question that came to my mind was how the hell did people display the original one? Once I saw a coffee table build, I knew that's how I wanted to display it.

I still need to buy a lot of sand and brown plates to create the floor I want and the final display I want, but I'm happy to have it as the center of my home theater.

I'm excited that the new SW sets are hitting stores. I'm for sure gonna get the AAT for Ahsoka and her clone, and maybe try and modify the turret to be more in-proportion. I'm gonna have to stop myself from getting two 501st sets.

Though I wish we were getting more CW sets TBH. I'd love to get the blue CW-era Y-wing.

So if I were to look for other Star Wars Ships to scale with the Ultimate Falcon, which ships should I consider? I know there are a lot of different ones made over the years. I see a few sets out in walmarts now, but they are all the modern color variants, not the originals.

    Would be looking at
    X-wing
    Y-wing
    A-wing
    Tie Fighter
    Snow Speeder

I see some ultimate sets they have out for those ships, but some seem way too big

Picked up the Downtown Diner set. Just waiting to see how the Mos Eisley Cantina will look when revealed. Will probably be my next big purchase.

Without using metal wires, there's really no way to make it work realistically. The reliance on electronics to produce the music reflects the reality of a plastic piano. I wish they could have synched the electronics so that each key depression makes an appropriate tone, but I imagine that level of complexity was outside of their budget.

Lovely classic. I still have the box for mine somewhere, although the parts were well used for all sorts of stuff beyond the main model when I was a kid. Nice to see these old sets resurface from time to time.

Good find. Fun set; one of the cooler Ninjago sets to come out last year. We've had several versions of the sailing/flying Bounty, so to have a land based version was a nice change. This has some nice features. I like the tandem steering arrangement.

The Falcon is to scale with minifigs. Only other sets I can think of that are in the same scale are the UCS Slave I and UCS Imperial Shuttle. Everything else is either way to large or too tiny.
