For how much the set costs, they could have printed both sides of the sails like the original.

With how long it took to get this set (it was out of stock for most of five solid months), I'm just glad to have it. I don't care that the sails are only printed on the one side, if I did, I'd buy a set of markers at work and color in the missing red stripes.

Well I bit the bullet and finally bought the ultimate falcon. I always dreamed of having the first one but i was always poor, could never affford it, and by the time i could, it had sky rocketed in price, making it impossible to ever get my hands on one.

A few years later Lego had made another even bigger and better version but also very expensive but I wouldnt say too bad considering how many pieces there was.

Ive been eyeing this thing for a loooong time and finally gor one today as I noticed prices are really starting to climb high, anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 new. Can find a few cheaper and opened but i wanted the experience of opening and building new.

I paid more than i wantes but oppurtunity came by that i could afford it and have the room to build and display, so i am very excited. I have two 4 year olds that are gonna love to help out with thing.

Cool! You'll be happy with it. I'm finally starting mine after pre-ordering it long ago.

The price to part ratio on that set is already stellar and all the pieces are printed, can't have everything.

Considering how vital the sails are to the look of the ship, and the cost of double-sided aftermarket replacements, I'd much rather the set cost however much more factory double-sided printing costs.

I sold my UCS Falcon a few months ago. I too had purchased it day one. It was fun to build but once it was done I slowly fell out of love with it and struggled with it for the couple years I had it.

It's huge. I mean huge. It's footprint is massive and is next to impossible to display. I recommend building the Efferman stand for it so you can save a little space displaying it. It will make moving it easier too. It's rickety as hell and weighs a lot. It's basically a frame with a bunch of plates resting on top. It's pretty look at but man I was happy to see it go.
