I hope Lego dials back on the Falcons, they've done enough these past few years. Also, anyone notice that the Anakin figure in the new interceptor and Kenobi from the Grievous ship are just reuses of the Mustafar variants, complete with scorch marks? Extremely lazy.
Wow, could he come across more petulant? That’s incredibly cheap and pathetic, especially since unscorched minifigs exist. There’s wanted to reduce costs, and then there’s penny-pinching.
Maybe a scale Batuu with a teeny falcon. If you wanted minfig scale you could just use an existing kit. Man, that would be bigger than some model train sets though. I was trying to figure out Vintage Series scale a while back, that would be smaller but no less maddening.
Yeah, I want the final duel as well. It's one epic scene in the Star Wars saga that sticks with you. Although Vader swings so fast from "let's take down the Emperor together" to "oh well, I'll just kill you and corrupt my daughter instead" to "Nooo! Don't kill my boy, you bastard!" that you'll get whiplash if you think too hard about it. There's a point where Palpatine should have sensed Vader was having one of his bipolar moments and should have taken him out of the room.
Have been inside of the Falcon too! Speaking of, I want to see pics of the interior of the Resistance Transporter. I know its a smaller set so I am not expecting much but am curious I am interested in several of the SW sets this year, for the first time in forever, but this one is a day one purchase - I love RotR - best ride/experience - hands down Dude you live in Orlando and the ride opened there in December, I am surprised it hasn't been spoiled for you yet. The only way it could be spoiled is if you watched a YouTube video of the ride from beginning to end, which still doesn't do it justice. If someone tried to verbally explain it to you, they would also not be doing it justice. Its not just a ride, its a whole experience!
Interested in the SW Clone era sets, the AT-AT and (perhaps also) the throne room duel. Have none of the previous releases so these are welcome. However, pricing is a bit absurd. Some I can accept, but the Grievous starship and the droid tank are too expensive. Hopefully they will be released at the same time of a sale.
Those SW sets will always hit a sale at some point, likely Target and Walmart, just have to be patient
Hm, I guess to make up for the rehash of the Final Duel set, they gave Vader arm printing. Starting also to realize Grievous' ship isn't the only set with fucked up PPP ratio. Turns out this has been the case in the last sets he's been in (speeder, bike sets). I think mr.4 arms isn't that cheap to produce... I actually really like the design of this ship, but I'll probably wait until some big discounts. Also, the Night Buzzard has a deplorable interior...if you can even call it that.
Didn't see those pics, thanks! Of course it scaled down and limited but yeah that's pretty much the layout of the cockpit and interior
I think it's a worthwhile sacrifice; most Lego spacecraft haven't had "serviceable" interiors, in favor of being more of a shelf presence or more affordable. If we really wanted fully kitted-out interiors for Minifig scale, we'd be paying for much, much larger sets.
Yeah, now that I think about it it'd be really hard to make a full interior with those sloped sides. Not impossible, but unfeasible for a standard lego set.
Thanks for the feedback @Wheeljoker and @Scarlet knight Still a tough choice. I may just switch it out every so often. Nice, I might've tried that if I had extra chrome pieces. Some random stuff.
Too bad Mega Construx is pretty much gonna keep a death grip on the Pokémon license for a long time. Hoping for LEGO Super Mario to succeed and lead to more Nintendo franchises getting the LEGO treatment. Oh, and yes, I’m aware that Nintendo doesn’t make licensing decisions for Pokémon despite the fact that they are the primary owner of the IP. The Pokémon Company International does.
