I’m hoping they also remake the 2 oracle games as a single game, that would be awesome

I wouldn’t necessarily care if they used the links awakening remake art style or not, I’d just like updated versions of them for the switch haha

Restarting Oracle of Ages. Didn't have enough to buy Seasons this time. I'm in the Wing Dungeon. Ugh. I hate color puzzles.

Just wanted to say that after nearly three years of Korok hunting in Breath of the Wild I have not yet gotten them all...but today I reached 666 so I think that’s as good a place as any to stop. :lol

With as long as it takes me to find one or two these days, even while wearing the Korok mask, I can’t imagine finding another 244. I don’t know what combination of madness and drugs people used that found all 900 of them like a week after the game was released. Even playing 24 hours a day that’s hard to imagine. And that was before the Korok mask was available.

I need to boot up Ocarina again. I hope I can remember what I was going to do next, seeing as it's been forever since I've played.

    I am.

Does anyone expect to see more of it at E3 next year? Or will it take 6 years with this one as well? :lol

Not until I hear how they're handling dungeons, item progression, bosses, durability, and probably some other stuff that I didn't like about Breath of the Wild. I'll still get the game, but there's a lot of room for improvement in areas I care about before I get excited.

I think it's likely we'll see something at E3, even if it's just something small. They're building off existing resources (engine, etc.) so it shouldn't take nearly as long this time around. Probably more similar to Wind Waker-to-Twilight Princess (the latter was built on a modified engine of the former). Personally I doubt the game will be out any later than 2021.

I may be crazy, but I was thinking it may come out next year in the holiday release slot.

Nintendo is famously perfectionist, I could see them delaying the hell out of it. On the other hand, yeah, they're using the pre-existing resources from the first game, most of the work is probably going into new mechanics. Maybe a 2021 release, at the latest.

I'm really hoping for next year. There really hasn't been a lot of first party EAD developed stuff released since launch year. So they've had time.

As far as changes from BOTW, I don't want to get into big arguments, but I really don't get the complaints about the weapons breaking. The game gives you so many weapons. I actually kind of appreciate it after playing Skyrim, where you are constantly drowning in weapons. BOTW certainly does have faults, but I don't see that as one of them.

For me I would like to see more of a central story, a few more traditional dungeons, and some more variety in gameplay and especially monsters. Also caves. We need caves for it to be a Zelda game.

    I love the weapon mechanic

For me all i want is

    traditional dungeons

    items that don't break

    a good story

    And real bosses

    Item list
2 clawshots (not hookshots clawshots are way cooler)

Ball and chain (it may be unpopular but i love it)
It should be a weapon that does massive damage but you have to spin it for 3 seconds first

And some other thing I'm forgetting

    My personal wishlist:
    • Better enemy variety
    • Proper dungeons
    • Rebuilt Hyrule
    • Darker tone (Like TP or MM)
    • Better item variety.
    • A mix between BotWs and TPs combat systems.
    • Large connected cave system with multiple entrances (Kinda like The Forest)
There's probably more I'd like to see but the list was already getting pretty long :lol

    Oh yeah, i forgot that!
How long was it between those two again? 3 or 4 years? BotW 2 seems to be rather similar to its predecessor, so it shouldn't quite as long of a wait.

I've been thinking the same thing for reasons stated by CyberBlade.

I appreciate them taking the time instead of rushing their games (looking at you Ubisoft!).

I agree. There's no improving the weapons in the game like there is in Skyrim, so that's another reason as to why i don't mind it that much.
Sure the weapons could've been more durable, especially the late game ones, but weapons are not at all hard to come by anyways.

yes yes that's what was missing the TP combat

The TP combat mixed with BOTW would be perfection
