Well, imitation is generally the strongest form of flattery. I watched some of the gameplay and I think it's definitely close to what I'm hoping for from BotW2 - multiple playable characters featuring different abilities (at least Link and Zelda) and areas with more interaction with NPCs. I think they should have tried moving away from the cel-shaded styling though - that's what really makes it look so "clonish". But it looks like a fantastic game to keep fans occupied until the real thing hits.

That seems like such a lot of wasted time and effort. If they have the ability to make games they should figure out what the basic elements of BOTW are that speak to them, use that as inspiration and create something original.

They did. And the videogame industry wouldn't have got where it is today, if they hadn't done a little inspirational copying from everybody else. They've always done it. It looks kinda fun.

Thats what I've said about fan game makers who whine about C&Ds.

Indeed. How many Zelda wannabes have there been? Sometimes, they are even fun. Neutopia, Super Hydlide, Beyond Oasis...

It was only a matter of time before the latest batch of Zelda clones reared up. And I sincerely doubt this game will take away sales from Nintendo's Zelda series. If anything, it might be a nice appetizer for the second course.

So, I’m trying to do the dlc content. It’s garbage. You just replay the guardians with limited weapons? Really? That’s fucking lame.

Ocarina of Time. I do have the Megaton Hammer, which has the coolest name ever.

Ah yes. The whack-a-mole dragon. That fight is really quite tedious.

My first thought on seeing it was whacamole as well. The stupid Smaug look-a-like always kills me rather quickly.

Is he harder in the original Ocarina? I've fought him in the 3D version, he wasn't too bad, just boring. Not as much fun, or has the presence of his 8 bit predecessor either. I didn't really like most OoT bosses to tell you the truth.

Good luck! You'll beat him soon, I'm sure of it.

I have the 3DS version. I wish I had the original, but N64s are so darn expensive. I agree that OoT has a lot of annoying bosses. Thanks for the kind words!

The Barrinade is a good boss fight, but it grosses me out, so that knocks off some points.

The Witches have great personality, but the mirror shield is such a pain to use.

I didn't like Phantom Ganon or Ganon, because one is a guessing game and one is part Dead Man's Volley, which I'm terrible at. The actual sword duel was disappointing and underwhelming.

    Goma was goofy and easy.

    Dodongo King was easy.

The water thing was either easy or annoying, depending on if you could corner it without being thrown against the spikes.

Bongo-bongo is my favorite of the bunch. Its clever, unusual, unique and imposing.

I hate the giant Octorock and Phantom Ganon the most, out of the bosses I've faced so far.

You haven't seen nothing yet...wait until you start fighting giant hands that are drumming where you're standing with an invisible eye

No way. That's a thing? That sounds tedious.
