That’s one thing I loved so much about it, that it grows along with you. I super frustrated at first but I just relaxed and found my own pace and it quickly became the most fulfilling video game experience I’ve ever had.

Still having, actually. I’ve got almost 200 koroks left to find. I’ve only got the patience to find one or two of them per session now.

got the switch recently and finally finished the game after spending 180 hours on it. its the 1st 3d zelda i've played through (i've finished LTTP, LA and MC - stalled finishing oracles) and really enjoyed the open world gameplay. i dont think its the best in terms of challenge compared to older stuff which is linear, but its a great representation in terms of what ive always imagine zelda would be as a world.

i struggled early with combat but what kept me going were the world exploration and shrine puzzles. no complaints from me story wise, and i enjoyed the suggested sub plots hinted between mipha-link, urbosa-zelda.

i also loves me some thicc gerudos lol

The Gerudo ladies are great. Love all the hidden little things in their town, too (the classroom, the hidden shop, the 'spa' at the inn). I've been playing this since 2017 and it was just yesterday that I discovered what happens when you feed Patricia the sand seal.

i Got the DLC and thanks to hero's path i can still see there are places i overlook (because i glided over them) even after all those hours and covering all 120 shrines. prolly look around those areas before i actually go into the DLC content.

Well, it looks like Nintendo is listening to the fans. Not only do they get to cut down on development costs, but we're getting a direct sequel, and what looks like some more story.

Also, my text to my wife:

WE'RE GETTING A SEQUEL TO BOTW I AM SO EXCITED

Dear Nintendo, please bring back proper dungeons and boss variety. Also nix the stamina meter and breakable weapons.

I'm down, but I want real dungeons this time. No more of those "one room, one puzzle" bullshit shrines.

And fix the clunky menu with stackable items. Also please do something about the awful knockback. Makes NES knockback look like a lovetap.

BOTW had good ideas going open world.

But yes, proper dungeons and more interesting bosses, and enemy variety, would be a nice touch.

Dark Nuts, Dekus, Peahats and at least Wolfos would be very welcomed additions.

We've not seen goriyas, pickitts, megmats, those flying mushroom bomb drop thingys, ghinis, moas, dairas, tinsuits, or lowders in 3D yet.

As far as I'm concerned, they can reuse at least the terrain from BotW (there should be some new things in it, obviously). There should be an all-new map too, but keeping the old areas would let them make a significantly larger game without a significantly larger budget.

Some of the closed off ruins in BotW would make great places to put new dungeons.

Well, the first two could happen. The second two obviously won't.

Don't know why getting rid of weapon durability "obviously" won't happen. It's one of the most controversial aspects of the game. Replacing it with an upgrade/repair system (they literally already have blueprints in either Skyward Sword's shields and BotW's armor) seems like a pretty obvious solution, or get better weapons through exploration, challenges, and/or story progression like pretty much every other game in the series.

I don't know if they need to get rid of breakable weapons, but maybe so they don't break so easily.

Agreed. Nintendo experiments and learns from the results. It's not like they're going to to weapons exactly the same way again just because they did it that way last time. What matters is what Nintendo was trying to accomplish by making all the weapons breakable. Nintendo has wanted to encourage players to try using a greater variety of weapons for a long time, and they've tried different mechanics to encourage that starting in Wind Waker. The method tried in BotW was a little heavy-handed, so it will be no surprise if they try something else, or at least adjust the durability system. I wouldn't mind starting with flimsy weapons and then getting more durable stuff later. By then, the player will have learned to use a variety of weapon types from the breakable versions and might be more inclined to switch between them instead of just using the sword constantly.
