The first three episodes of S2 officially are up on Amazon. Fun watch, but damn did they end episode three on one hell of a cliffhanger!   Going to suck for the people that didn't watch the original playthrough to have to wait a week to see how that one resolves itself.

Already a thread. Though admittedly it can be difficult to find due to it not having Vox Machina in the title.

 

Finally watched season 1 and the first 3 of season 2 and I absolutely love this show. Probably one of the best shows I've picked up in years and I'm wondering why it took me so long to watch the 1st season.

 

So what’s this Mighty Nein confirmed to be getting an animated show as well?

Lets hope Hasboro doesn't try to enforce the new OGL on them.

 

They've back pedaled on the royalties requirement anyway, so I'm not really sure what there would be for them to enforce.

 

For now, time will tell what happens. They could always try something similar later.

 

To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if Critical Role already has a deal with WotC/Hasbro considering they already have a working relationship with them.

 

They've also made the claim that OGL 1.2 will be irrevocable. The lack of that terminology in the original OGL is the entire reason that there's a mess with all that stuff currently.

That honestly wouldn't surprise me one bit

 

If mods are willing, i'll like to continue this thread exclusively for the animated show since it might get lost in the bigger more multi-media Critical Role thread.

Ep-4's a great Vax episode. Great fights!

Ep-5 was a good Keyleth ep overall.

Ep-6, was just more phenomenal with tremendous boss fights!

It's another cliffhanger ep, tho...

Anyway, can't wait for the next episode-batch next week!

This show just continues to be just damn amazing!

This is truly a much much better investment for Amazn than the billions of money they'd wasted and seems to still continue wasting on a well-known fantasy-world property some so-called "writers" *cough*hacks*cough* have utterly ruined...

They have now declared OGL1.2 dead, but we will see how long that lasts. Given a year or two and they might try again.

 

Late to the game on this one. Not really into role play or high fantasy but gave it a shot and just finished Series 2.
I really enjoyed this show as it's quirky and fun enough to appeal to someone outside of the key demographic.

And the look at the dragon's face when Vax and Scanlan went up its ass? I fucking died.

I think the timing on the humour has certainly improved from the first few episodes where it more forced and cringe.

Sad to see McFarlane making the figures. Those were a hard pass. I read through the first two prequel series, too - not bad there, either.
