I take it this thread has been done many times before, but I don't believe ALL of them were brought up. I tend to notice little details that most people wouldn't pick up on. Now, this list only includes the Movies/Comics canon (not count the Titan comic tie-ins), the toy-only and prequel novel Cons do not count (Toys being well, toy-only and the prequel novels due to heavy contradiction with the films) and definitely NOT the Cyber Missions. And thus: The last surviving Decepticons. NOTE: Some the characters were never specifically killed "onscreen", so it's still up in the air. But I will consider them alive (no matter how minor they may be) until I'm 100% positive they are in fact dead. 1. Igor - He was never killed in the movie or the comic adaption. 2. The Protoforms - I highly doubt all of them were killed in Dark of the Moon. I'm sure most of them will "evolve" into new Decepticon characters in the fourth movie. 3. Watch-bot - Never saw him again after he scurried through the grating. 4. The Hatchlings - See #2. 5. Garbage truck Decepticon - Never saw him again after he obtained his Vehicle form. 6. Pickup truck Decepticon - Never saw him again after the human massacre. 7. Thundercracker - Still alive. 8. Flatline - Still alive. 9. Stockade - Last seen fighting Payload. Never seen being killed. 10. Payload - Last seen fighting Stockade. Never seen being killed. 11. Ruination - Never seen being killed during Rising Storm. 12. Mindwipe - Never seen being killed during Rising Storm. 13. Space Case - Escaped. 14. Tankor - Escaped. 15. Sonar - Survived being stabbed and escaped. Warning! VERY minor characters incoming! 16. Thrust - Escaped at the end of Nefarious miniseries. 17. Lockdown - Escaped at the end of Nefarious miniseries. 18. Unidentified red jet Decepticon - Escaped at the end of Nefarious miniseries. And finally... 19, 20, 21, and 22. The 4 appliancebots brought to life in Transformers Nefarious Issue 5 - Never seen again after killing their owners. Welp. I hope that Bay or one of the writers is able to read this thread, just in case they finally want to end the series by killing every possible Decepticon in the last movie, I already have it ready.
If I may point out, there was a purple Decepticon with orange rocket launchers in Nefarious Issue 6 FAR in the background, but from what I could see from him, he's basically Sonar (Rising Storm Issue 2) that's color wrong. The appearance matches Sonar's, so I don't consider it a different character.
Bay and Kruger gives zero Fs about the comics and as far as they're concerned any characters that weren't in the films never existed.
Where is the Mt.Dew Machine, I don't remember it being killed, and still want one as a toy, damn it..
If I remember correctly, Ratchet kills him in one of the comics, sucks that he died, but it's one of the few things of note that Movie Ratchet does...
Honestly, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say all of the Decepticons that appeared in the movies has been killed, with the possible exception of Igor and the Protoforms.
Well, any surviving 'Cons out there would supposedly either go into hiding, flee Earth altogether or stay and risk being hunted by the Autobots. Sucks to be them.
Every Decepticon who came through the portal in DOTM were sucked into the sky and destroyed in the portal along with Cybertron. The Hatchlings on the Nemesis and in the desert (or wherever it was) died without enough energon/food. Characters who stared in the comics do not matter to Bay and Igor was likely killed off screen in the insuing battle of Chicago or the time afterwards. In the movies Wheelie and Brains are dead while in the comics/novels they survived for example.
Thundercracker? What movies were you watching? Unless he was in one of those silly comics that Bay pays no attention to anyway. If that's the case, yeah good luck seeing him on screen unless Bay gets a wild hair up his butt.
There were a few characters planned, Autobot and Decepticon alike, that were cut for various reasons ranging from technical to time to 'just not quite cool enough'...I imagine/hope we'll see at least one or two of those dusted off for the fourth movie. But I wouldn't count on TOO many recurring faces... Then again Megatron died in the first movie and still came back for a second and third, Optimus died in one and was back by the end of it, and people insisted Barricade was dead as well until he showed up holding hostages at the end of DOTM, so death clearly doesn't stick to these guys too terribly well every time. Who knows? Maybe everyone will end up with Blackout/Grindor syndrome and be repaints of earlier characters.
I never heard anything about Bay ignoring the comics, not counting the Fallen sarcophagus incident, the comics have tied-in to the movie very accurately IMO
I remember Shockwave leaving Dreadwing in charge of Cybertron before leaving with the Driller, so I can only hope he was informed to send the protoforms to gather the pillars as all the other cons were left trapped. This would mean he knew the entire plan and would probably evacuate along with the other remaining Cons on Cybertron before shit went down, i.e the reversed space bridge.
basically everyone on that list sucks except for thundercracker and flatline, amazing how the entire decepticon chain of command was killed in such pathetic and stupid ways in one movie.
Okay, one thing I wanted to say is that the writers arent going to scroll by and read any of these threads. That doesnt happen. They arent going to let people tell them what to do. And secondly, the writers probably have never read a single Transformers comic in their life, let alone all of the Movie ones, so all these comic book characters are assuredly not going to be in the movie. HOWEVER, I do like your ideas, and some of these characters totally might appear in the comics, but dont expect them to pop up in the movie anytime soon.
