*Sigh* Dammit, this golf meme is hilarious. This isn't mine, BTW. Just found it by googling.
If you liked the first game, just pretend like the second doesn't exist.
I’m asking you to be considerate to others. You don’t have to be a jerk about it. Some people have been avoiding spoilers still plan on buying it. Despite your issues with the game you shouldn’t ruin it for others.
Is it not considerate to others to try to warn them to not waste their money on surefire garbage that takes everything people liked about the first installment and actively shits all over it?
Or, well...takes the golf club everybody is memeing about and goes Would You Kindly all over the things you liked like what happens to Andrew Ryan.
Spoiler tags added.
Please try to remember that some people still want to visit gaming threads for discussion, and enjoy the choice as to whether or not they see certain information about storyline/characters etc.
Let me or another mod know if you’re not sure how to use spoiler tags.
God bless you.
I wasn't a jerk at all. I simply suggested if you really love the first one, the second one probably isn't for you.
This is a little old but wow I played a hacking game and I didnt expect it to be that easy except the first step doesnt involve the really abstract idea of using powerful servers to get to the first, actually well protected key before all the doors start unlocking each other with enough incompetence on their end and enough searching on yours
So real life was somehow simpler/stupider because they shipped millions of keys out in plain sight
I have to agree with Bignick on this one. Just because you are pissed off at something doesn't mean others are. The only reason I'm not buying TLoU2 is because I know it will be ported to the PS5 either as a launch title or be on there by next summer. I've waited this long for the game, what's another year?
In fact, I have no idea how you can say it shits over the first game when you haven't even played the game since it isn't out yet. Reading a leak doesn't count because you haven't actually experieced the game first hand for yourself.
I honestly couldn't give less of a damn about TLOU, I even own the copy that came in the Black Friday PS4 Bundle from last year - that shit is not touching my PS4's harddrive. I find the situation currently developing over the sequel as great entertainment, however, and I know the crux of the first game's appeal is the bond between Joel and Ellie developed over the course of the game.
TLOU2 is going to plant a nice big "F*** You" all over that.
An argument truly stands that if people genuinely liked TLOU, then they really should not go near TLOU2. Its going to retroactively ruin that game with what happens.
The First of Us was better anyway.
Why are you getting so defensive? And people say I overreact. Damn dude.
But there is a difference between warning people and flat out spoiling. It’s fine saying hey development was a mess and based on the leaks the story sucks where it’s just rude saying spoilers to warn people off.
Despite not agreeing with someone’s point of view you should still be respectful. Posting spoilers without tags is disrespectful to others and inconsiderate especially before the release. I’m not saying people should stop hating on the game. I’m saying be respectful to others and use a spoiler tag if you are going to use a spoiler to show your feelings about the content.
I enjoyed the first game a great deal. Yeah the relationship between Joel and Ellie was an undeniably huge part of it, but I was also heavily in it for the atmosphere, the environments, and the ‘survival’ aspect. It provided some of the finest moments in gaming for me.
I’ve also read and seen a lot of stuff from the leaks, but it hasn’t put me off at all. I might have preferred a prequel game that explored Joel’s backstory in the early months/years after the outbreak, or perhaps seen it through someone else’s eyes, but it is what it is.
With that said, I’m not buying on launch as I’ve got enough on at the moment, but I look forward to picking it up one day regardless.
Lol, the entire game cinematics was leaked, along with most of the game play. Everything was spoiled; it wasn't just a synopsis.
"Reading a leak."
Dude, the entire game was leaked. Are you not aware of that fact? Everything's out there.
No I didn't because I don't go looking for leaks. I'll experience the game when I play it.
This review from Skill Up is a pretty good summary of why I’m not going to buy this game and how all of my fears were pretty much confirmed. If you’re concerned with spoilers, there are none in this video.
Another review gave the game a 10, so yeah, it's going ot be like the first one. You either absolutely love it or you hate it just because.
