    Interstellar - 8/10

    Gone Girl - 9/10

I really walked into Interstellar thinking I would hate it, but aside from the first act being too long and some of the plotholes I really enjoyed it.

    Big Hero 6 - 8/10

I'd say it was my favorite animated movie since Wreck-It-Ralph. It definately brought together all the best parts of a super-hero movie targeted towards a younger audience. Betamax's fist-bump was awesome, I definately need to start doing that.

Also, reading other people's reviews, it seems that I should have stuck around after the credits.

    Dumb & Dumber To 9/10:

Absolutely wonderful experience. It was like seeing old friends again, and it was just the right amount of everything. I loved it to pieces.

There's no denying that the film is a retread of the first, even some of the ideas and jokes are reused, but they're done in a way that's still funny and gets the laughs. Genuine, big, full laughs.

Plus, it's nice to see a different take on the same joke when it's done like they did in this sequel. It was absolutely hilarious seeing them screw everything up all over again in their trademark style.

I was surprised to see Kathleen Turner get so much screen time, it was really nice to see her get some good lines, too. (She had excellent comedic timing going up against Carrey and Daniels.) I have to say, Jennifer Lawrence has one of the oddest cameos I've ever seen, same goes with the meth cook. ;)  (Are you sure you want to be spoiled? Okay...
    Bill Murray
Speaking of meth...the cat. Oh, the cat. lolololol

The daughter, is absolutely one of the best parts of the film. She's easy on the eyes, incredibly dumb but also one of the sweetest people on the Earth. After Harry and Lloyd, she's the next best character and you can't help but want to hug her and say "Oh, you so stupid, give me a hug. We'll go get you a puppy or something." Seriously so sweet and dumb. lol

Considering it's been 20 years, they look better than expected, I was surprised by that. It's by no means a perfect film, but it wasn't trying to be, it was just trying to show two dumb friends getting back together after two decades and we're invited along for the ride.

Go see it, but stay for the end of the credits!

According to multiple news outlets there is no cameo from Jennifer Lawrence. It was cut (by her request according to at least one source, never even filmed according to another). I'm curious as to what you saw.....
What Happened To Jennifer Lawrence's 'Dumb & Dumber To' Cameo?

It's definitely her voice. No way around it, it's clearly her voice. Perhaps they used a body double, but last I heard she did the cameo and I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Need for Speed - 8.4/10 - I really enjoyed this one. Great racing scenes! The last part really felt like the video game come to life (in a good way - not gimmicky) Exotic race cars blazing through some back woods roads while cops try to take them down with road blocks, helicopters, etc. Made me think of some great times playing NFS: Hot Pursuit on my PS2.

    The Wind Rises 9/10

After watching this, I can only get sad at the thought that Miyazaki is done making feature films

    Lost In Translation 8/10
Working through the filmography of Sofia Coppola for a class, and I'm honestly not sure why, but something about her style isn't rally lciking with me on a personal level outside of little moments. Still, I have to admit, this is a very well-made film. Yeah, it kind of amounts to white people moping, but it's one of the best examples of white people moping I've ever seen.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame - 8.5/10

This movie gets too much hate. Forget about being a faithful adaption of the book (which I have read and loved), it's just a damn good animated feature. Much more sophisticated than your average Disney flick. The animation and look of the film is superb, that choir score is epic as hell, Esmerelda is fine as hell and Frollo is all kinds of awesome as a villain.
