    District 9 on DVD- 9.5/10.
Still amazing film if not a little gory. My favorite film of last year.

    2012 last night.
Um, not sure how to rate it. Full of action, exciting, humorous at times.
100% unrealistic, will never happen in a million years. Everything was over the top, overly done, none-stop.
    A disaster movie on crack.
When I saw the Earth falling apart and them talking about ships, I was assuming space-ships, but turned out to be metallic Arch's.
I guess I give it a 5/10. Could've been more if it was more realistic.

    Law Abiding Citizen

...holy crap, this is an awesome film. Gerard Butler is one awesome movie villain. He's almost unbeatable.....Great film even though this kinda acts like a Saw Knockoff.

    overall 8.5/10 great action film.

The Major and the Minor - 9/10. Ginger Rogers is fed up with her life she settled for in the city and decides to go home, having stashed enough cash for a ticket back home. But raised prices throws a monkey wrench into her problems. So what does she do? She pretends to be a 12 year old girl for a reduced rate.  Suuuure. It's outlandish, yes, but they pulled it off with the downright hilarious moments she finds herself in. And the ending was a little strange, but, I can forgive it because...it's Ginger Rogers. And she was bloody fantastic.

Duck Soup - 9/10. Before the Marx Bros. movies became carbon copies of each others, they had alot of good stuff. And this was no exception. I literally blew water out of my nose at alot of Harpo's antics, and Groucho and Chico's quick wit was almost unbearably funny. Particularly the football game at the end. "Hey! Ya wanna get hurt?! We're about to throw a forward pass here!"

Bend of the River - 10/10. Classic Jimmy Stewart western with a great plot, outstanding dialogue, and fantastic pacing. Good movie in every way a movie can be.

Batman & Robin - 4.5/10. After rewatching the film, I really take back a few of the bad things I've said about it over the years. I had jumped on the bash Schumacher bandwagon a few years back and just condemned it all to heck and back. But after seeing it after a long while, it's really not that bad. If you've ever read an old Batman comic from the 40's, 50's or 60's, you'd be quick to see that they nailed that cheesiness and campiness. After Burton's movies and The Dark Knight Returns, most everyone had it set in their minds what Batman was "supposed to be" and overlooked the fact that this is in fact what Batman was. For years. Sure the naked statues and nipples are an eye sore, but I can forgive what they did to Bane because it was in the spirit of the old Dick Sprang or late Bob Kane era. So, not terribly good, but not all that bad. On the bright side, I still enjoy the soundtracks of this movie and its predecessor...and...the Batmobile was cool.

Gidget - 8/10. This is a classic tale about sun, surf and finding love in 1959. It was an interesting look at the norms and styles of that day and age, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to.

    Speed Racer: 2008

after all the bad things i have heard about it, i was really unsure about wanting to watch it. but i was bored, and it was on, on demand. so i decided i'd give it a try.

to tell you the truth, I thought it was quite good. sure some of the effects were kind'a cheesy. but the movie kept it's pace up it's "fast" pace up the whole time. to me the best part was how it'd quickly jump from one scene to another, and then back. and it'd keep doing that back and forth. to me it was way better then i thought it'd be. how ever, it was not as good as it COULD of been. but the cast was nice. I'm always a fan of Ricci. so that's a plus too. some of the scenes were a bit cheesy. and the kid was a bit annoying, but other then that. it was quite good. and it seemed to stick much closer to the source material then most things that get a movie version do, like, transformers, astroboy, dragonball evolution, all failed to do. i just wish astroboy was as good as this. Astroboy was the film i saw before this, and i believed it just was not as good. the voices were not that great, and the characters were too altered. on top of that it just made me want to watch the 2003 astroboy series, which i did, yay netflix :lol

    so all in all.

Speed racer was a much better film then Astroboy, and Dragonball Evolution. to me it was one of those films that most people who were saying it was a bad film, hasn't even seen it yet.

Speed racer, i'd give it a 8 out of 10
    Astroboy, 6 out of 10

    Clash of the Titans (2010) - 4/10

By-the-numbers, spiritless and wooden acting, incredibly uninspired all around, not even much fun as a "mindless popcorn movie".

Kick Ass. Probably 7.5 out of ten. Enjoyable film, but I kinda felt like the final act has tacked on, I would have been happy with the film ending with It Girl rescuing Kick Ass and basically accusing Kick Ass of screwing everything up, but I guess films need resolution and the good guys winning.
Preferred it to the comic though, possibly because I didn't have to wait 4 months between reels ;)
