Punisher: War Zone - 6/10. It was over-the-top - sometimes to the point of being ridiculous - and I didn't like what they did with some of the characters (Jigsaw, for instance), but I enjoyed myself. Ray Stevenson IS Frank Castle.

Amazingly funny film, all the one liners were brilliant and loved Peter Capaldi's Character !

It was just too predictable, IMHO. I saw the ending coming about half way though. I guess I was expecting something different.

    Star Wars (1977 cut)
    10/10

The Crazies (remake) -- 9/10. Very entertaining. Best non-zombie movie w/ zombies I've seen in a long time! Now to watch the original on Netflix...

No, but it was a very suspenseful movie and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Last week, my wife and I saw Percy Jackson. What a piece of crap. Stupid story, horrid attempts at shoe-horning Greek mythology in the story and just ridiculous all-around. Though I did give a chuckle at rock star Hades.

I'm not either and I enjoyed the movie. Much better than Avatar.

A few screenings I went to recently...

Hot Tub Time Machine - 5.5/10 - Somewhat funny, but not consistently so. Has a few good 80's references, but not nearly enough. The characters are all pretty one dimensional, and basically a bunch of jackasses.

Repo Men - 6.5/10 Not too overhanded in trying to make a political point, which I was thankful for. Story is meh, but the violence is extremely brutal, and there was lots of it, so that was a definite bonus.

She's Out of My League - 8.5/10 Very very funny, at least on initial viewing. There were some jokes I know I missed, so I'll have to see it again. So far this is looking like the first 2010 movie to warrant an eventual purchase.

I got a second free screening of Avatar again today.

Story- 5/10. The story is still just too contrived, borrowed, and too long. I was ready to go after they blew up Home Tree.

Based on FX alone 9.5/10. I had to take a half point off because those glasses get to be a royal pain in the ass after 2 hours.

Overall- 7.5/10. A decent movie, but very very glad it didn't win Best Picture.

Religulous - 8.5. Asks some interesting questions about religion, but nothing too earth-shattering. Overall a very well made documentary

Ikiru - 10/10. Very poignant and heartwarming. I cried at one point.

Throne of Blood - 10/10. Kurosawa does Shakespeare. Epic. :rock
