Inglorious Basterds - 8/10. I love Tarantino, it had everything I need from his movies. I loved the squirrel/rat dialogue and the Bear Jew scene especially. Killin' Natzees!

I enjoyed it too, but I think the biggest problem was: good idea, generic plot and execution.

I just saw Fanboys the other day. Funniest movie I've seen in a while. I give it 9 out of 10. I mean, it had me at least grinning 99% of the time but laughing out loud for the most part. The last time a movie did that to me was Grandma's Boy.

    Legion 2/10

This was absolutely horrible, yet amusing in parts equal to its horribleness. I do not recommend spending money on this film as films like it should not be encouraged, but if you happen to come across it (hint), it's not the worst distraction.

That said, I'm curious as to some of the film ratings here. There seem to be too many perfect or near perfect scores for enjoyable, yet flawed films. Do some of you create a new scale for each film viewed or do you have an overall strategy enabling you to compare films that you've seen? If it is the former, then it isn't helpful for providing film recommendations to others. I mean no disrespect, but there seem to be more perfect films in this thread than have ever been filmed, based on collective, published reviews. Obviously preferences vary, but truly great films are more or less agreed upon and are rare.

Something's Gotta Give - 10/10. I'm a Nancy Myers fan. And Nicholson was painfully funny throughout. "I have always told you some version of the truth."

Over Her Dead Body - 8/10. Kind of a spin on the Topper concept. I wouldn't mind Eva Longoria haunting my house. ;)

Tears of the Sun - 10/10. Beautiful. This is what I wish G.I. Joe had been more like.

Cobra (1986) - 7.5/10. I liked it more than I thought I was going to. The hospital scene and the last scenes were what made me like this movie. Typical 80's flick, but I love 80's movies. They were just fun.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. 7.5/10

I didn't have high expectation for the movie, as some of the CGI shown in the trailer was pretty cheesy, but there was nothing else that really intrigued me at the Box Office so I took a chance with it. I found myself surprisingly satisfied with the movie. The action moved along quite fast and although the plot was pretty lame and certain parts (like half blood camp) was also meh, at least the movie was short enough that you don't have to suffer through them for too long. The actors for the Gods (especially Sean Bean and Kevin McKidd as Zeus and Poseidon respectively) are above average. Chris Columbus the director once directed Harry Potter so it does have some Potter-esque moments. Overall it's a nice family film to take your kids to.

    The Wolfman- a solid 9/10.

Very very good and a solid update of the original.
