Fanboys. 4/10. It would likely be a 6 if not for some problems.

It would have been better if I hadn't seen or read the best parts over the past few years. Not worth the wait but then again Star Wars itself wouldn't be worth the wait if it spent two years in production and post production and they released a little bit of the script or a scene every couple of months. Some of the audio edits are really noticeable in it even after I turned off the surround speakers. (Imagine if Obi-Wan says "Use the Force, Luke" like he's reading the menu at Sizzler and Luke not reacting.) This should be used as a an example of how not to produce, film, mix, edit, rewrite, market, and distribute a movie. With a fairly pedestrian storyline (mostly typical road trip story) as well, its the cast & cameos that saves it from being Ernest goes to the Skywalker Ranch. If you want to see it, save some time and watch the trailer instead.

Well, obviously enough to rate it at least. Have to admit it looked dumb in the preview alone....it looked dumb on the lobby card too.

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen - I give it a 7 out of 10. There was a lot of unnecessary stuff that could have been cut (mom and pot brownies, Alice) to get it down to 2 hours. In a weird twist, I think a lot of the scenes were edited poorly and cut short. Some of them felt like they needed one or two more lines from someone to finish the scene but the editor cut them early. Mikaela changing into the white dress to say goodbye to Sam comes to mind. The Twins were also atrocious. If I could break into ILM and delete them from their servers, I would. Other than that, I can't wait to see it again!

Megan Fox also featuring toy robots 2 - 5/10 objectively, 8/10 for entertaining nonsense.

    Reign of Fire (2002) - 4/5
I remember watching this movie in 2002 and loving it (but mostly because I had a crush on Gerard Butler), so six seven years later I wasn't expecting to enjoy it outside the nostalgia factor, but this movie, for me, is still awesome. Rob Bowman does a excellent job with direction and atmosphere, and performances are great from all the cast members; Matthew McConaughey especially as the "Captain Ahab" esque character, Denton Van Zan (but he tends to excell most of the time when not in a Romantic Comedy).

The CGI for Dragons are a little spotty (hindsight-wise), but otherwise still fantastic (this is by far the best movie I've ever seen with dragons in them. And the irony is, that right after this film, everyone or at least Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, employed the "two chemicals secreted from the glands = fire" theory used in this film, instead of its Dragon heave out fire straight from its throat). The only real problem with this movie is that it seems to be rolling toward the end just when things are getting exciting and I'm getting invested into all these characters, but I suppose on the flip side it doesn't overstay its welcome either.

    Quarantine (2008) - 5/5
Well, I finally got around to seeing this movie and I've gotta say I enjoyed this adaption of the 2007 Spanish Horror film, [●REC] (a movie which I've yet to sit down and watch). The naturalistic acting (especially in the beginning), or REacting, was fantastic and the atmosphere of the overall film and the use of "Cinéma vérité" camerawork, once things started to fall apart around the characters ears, works great in the movie's favor. It effectively scared the shit out of me and I think it used this method of filmaking alot better than Cloverfield did. But maybe that's because they didn't have a giant monster trashing the Los Angles Apartment complex :D . I lol'ed when I saw Dania Ramirez in this movie.

    Gamera the Brave - 8/10
It lacked the sheer epicness of the Heisei Gamera Trilogy, but it certainly made up for that with heart. Puts the majority of Godzilla films to shame.
