G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra- 7/10
The Incredibles- 10/10
Godzilla vs Hedorah - 7.5/10. Some of the scenes are wierd but the overall movie is enjoyable.
The Empire Strikes Back - 9/10 - first time my 6 year old daughter had seen it. Her favorite character is now Yoda.
21 Jump Street - 10/10
Funniest movie I've seen since the first Hangover.
Yes. I cried at points, because I was laughing so hard. The car chase scene was incredibly hilarious. Such a smart movie about dumb people.
Shooting the guy's dick off just nearly killed me. I couldn't breathe.
"Trippin' Major Ballsack" and "Asleepiness" was so ridiculous you had to laugh.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter - 8/10
It was strangely decent. They actually managed to take a ridiculous concept and do good things with it.
Yeah. That is a pretty good movie.
It's also one of the great remakes I've ever seen....so...yeah.
I agree, I thought the movie kicked ass
Trespass - 6/10.
The Amazing Spiderman, 7.5/10
The Avengers 100 out of 10
Hannibal Rising (2007) - 8.5/10
It was the last of the Hannibal movies that I watched. Now I really want to re-watch them in chronological order.
Very cool to see Hannibal in his pre-cannibal life. The only thing that I would've enjoyed more would've been to have Hopkins in the movie somehow. Whether he was simply the narrator, an "evil voice" inside Hannibal's head or if there was a post-credits scene showing Anthony Hopkins staring longingly at a photo of Lady Murasaki, just as the doorbell rings. He opens the door to see the group of people whom he invited over to his house in Red Dragon (prior to Edward Norton's character appearing). Thus, obviously, leading into Red Dragon the same way that Red Dragon lead into The Silence of the Lambs.
Magic Mike - 6.5/10
My fiancee purposely bought tickets without telling me Saturday night, because as much as she wants to, I don't need to see Channing Tatum's butt...AGAIN! (F-you "The Vow"!) Honest review of the movie: story in the first half flowed really well, Soderbergh is able to play up everyone's strenghs (ie. Matthew McConaughey being every single Matthew McConaughey character ever) and has a way of elevating the material. And then the movie went into a nosedive. Second half delved into complete autopilot mode, rife with cliches and plot conveniences.
DRUGS ARE BAD, OH NOES!!
And Tatum still can't act his way out of a paper bag. See him attempt to channel some raw emotion in a scene with obviously unscripted dialogue...and he ends up stumbing all over his words.
At least I was rewarded with some Olivia Munn boobage, even if it was only for like a few seconds at the very beginning. You're welcome.
Bounce - 8.5/10
A terrific film with great characters, carried by some strong acting both by Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Watched the Raimi Spidey films the past few days in preparation for Amazing Spiderman
I have to say, these films haven't hold up quite as well over time. Some scenes come off as kinda corny and cliche. The CGI is also pretty dated. Still a very enjoyable movie though
Spiderman 2- 8/10
Still one of my favorite superhero films despite also having some parts that feel a bit dated now
Spiderman 3- 6/10
I was hugely disappointed with this film when it first came out, but seeing it again I found myself enjoying much more. It's fun enough as just a mediocre superhero movie
X-Men: First Class - 9/10
Shaun of the Dead: 9/10. Great film. It's surprisingly realastic for a parody of the Zombie genre.
Never Say Never Again
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (Original Cut)- 100000000/10
The Amazing Spider-Man- 10/10
Battle Royale 7/10
