Resident Evil Afterlife - 8/10 !!!!
Saving Private Ryan: ??/??
I dont know what to think...
Hot Shots: 6/10. Oldie but a goody in some ways. Didn't age well but some jokes are still hysterical.
I never said Batman!
I enjoyed it to a degree, but it ain't got nothing on it's predecessors.
The Pursuit of Happyness- 10/10
All i can really say is great film.
Mallrats - 9/10. I had intended to continue my Jurassic Park marathon, but I found this in the five dollar bin at WM and it took priority. I had forgotten how awesome Kevin Smith's movies were.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World-8/10 It was hilarious
Inception-10/10 Just so good
The King's Speech - 8/10.
The Kung Fu Kid - 8/10.
Watch the superior (in my opinion) film on the same subject, Malick's The Thin Red Line before forming those thoughts.
The Green Hornet: B
Fun movie. Opens well, second act drags a bit but closes really strong. Great actions scenes and Kato kicks butt with loads of awesome!!
Ghost Town: 7.5/10. Pretty good flick. It's like the Ghost Whisperer only funnier.
Exit through the gift shop: 10/10
Tokyo Gore Police: ???/10. Interesting in some ways but very disturbing. I'm done for the night. Thank you.
True Grit - 8/10
Awesome acting all around especially surprised at the little 14 year old. Dam fine actress if you ask me. Jeff Bridges still playing his A-game even if his voice got a little too muddled in some scenes. In others it was perfect, "You'll hafta scurry on up there cause I can't. I'm too old and fat!" Awesome. This is the kind of Western I remember as a kid. Action, gun shooting, horses, and good old dusty towns. Feels like the old west to me.
127 Hours - 10/10 - Up there with Inception and Toy Story 3.
Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - 8/10
For some reason I hated this film first time around (possibly comparing to the previous while wearing rose-tinted glasses), but I'm glad I gave it a second chance.
I can't give a good reason why I like this movie. I just do.
The A-Team: 8/10
This is a solid action comedy, with a great actor (Liam Neeson) being given the opportunity to let his inner Ham out and enjoy himself; Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) is a chap I feel we'll be seeing more of, and I really like him. The two actors playing B.A. and Murdoch, while unrecognizable to me put in the sort of performance required to play a raving lunatic and Mr. T; that is, hilarious.
The plot is serviceable and allows for some incredibly cool set pieces, a personal favourite of mine being Face taking on a pair of Reaper UAVs. With a tank mounted machine gun. While the tank is parachuting down from a plane.....this shit you just can't make up.
The two actors playing our villains, the CIA spook Lynch and (thinly veiled Black Water analogue) Mercenary Pike are also displaying a huge amount of self awareness and act accordingly.
Jessica Biel is the only one who seems to be taking the situation seriously, which will either work for you as she's the straight man or stick out as really odd.
All in all, a solid and worth flick to be enjoyed with mates, pizza and beer.
The Dark Knight - 10/10
Inception - 10/10
