    John Wick Chapter 4 - 8/10

I loved John Wick 1 & 2. They were superb action films with a bit of world building mixed in and were very well-paced. The third film, however, left me cold, so I'm delighted that Chapter 4 feels much closer to the feel of the first two movies and is a good return to form.

I think this is in large part to the really fun supporting cast this time around - Donnie Yen in particular is just brilliant - but the others all play a good part too and just helped alleviate the 'relentless fights without much else' that I felt dragged 3 down a bit.

Lots of fun, some great action set-pieces, and some superb moments of breathtaking cinematography & choreography in perfect harmony, and most importantly, it doesn't feel long. Recommended.

Ready Player One... 7/10. Great visuals, with all the awful personality of the book.

Chang Can Dunk 8/10. Great story but it went on too long.

That is so true. The last movie that one best movie that I liked, was lord of the rings return of the king.

9/10 for Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. I know some stuff about D&D and I'm sure some people that are deep in it can find something to nitpick but I enjoyed it.

Terrifier 2-Damn! That was a fucked up movie. Really gives off a great 80s slasher vibe. And art is an even bigger troll. The guy who played him is great. Like the Joker and Freddy Kreuger all rolled into one? His expressions are hilarious. That one kill was waaay over the top.

Shazam: Fury of the Gods - 8/10

Honestly don't get the low ratings. It's a perfectly enjoyable and well-done superhero movie. Honestly better than anything Marvel's put out (aside from maybe NWH) post-pandemic. I thought it did a good job building on the story of the first movie, and had a lot of good action and chuckles. Not a masterpiece, but a perfectly good time.

Maybe I just found this to be a nice palate cleanser/return-to-form after Quantumania. In a day and age where even a freaking Ant-man movie has to set up larger confusing multiverse plotlines, it's kind of refreshing to just see a superhero save some people and kittens on a collapsing bridge.

I kind of get the feeling that averageness is why people aren't liking it, but this is honestly exactly want I want out of superhero movies. While Ant-Man 3 kind of made me dread having to see anymore of the giant multiverse Kang plotline, this made we walk away saying "I kind of hope we get to see more of Shazam".

The finale probably could have been a bit shorter, but I might be biased since I needed to use the bathroom super bad, lol.

It’s still out in theaters right? I haven’t gotten to see it yet, but I was really hoping to see this one in the cinema, seeing as I missed out on the first one

I saw it last Saturday (and forgot to write anything about it until now), but I would think it's still in theaters. I think it's only been out about two weeks.

Shazam Fury of the Gods 7.5/10. It’s a completely fine movie, Heck I found it more enjoyable than most of Marvel Phase 4 (excluding Spider-Man NWH and Shang Chi). Was a lot better than Black Adam. But the plot felt like it was being made up as they were filming. Also Child Billy feels like a 17 year old and Shazam Billy feels like an 9 year old. Wish they would match up. The rest of the cast felt like they matched their child selves.

Weird: The Weird Al Yankovic Story - 8/10

I really liked this one. I felt that it could have gone a bit harder with some jokes and I think the climax of the film should have used 'Fat' instead of Amish Paradise (especially as it's outright acknowledged out of the blue while leading into Amish Paradise and, thematically, would have been cooler as Fat is the real life sequel to 'Eat It' which itself is the single most important song in the movie), but at the same time Amish Paradise is one of my personal favorite Weird Al songs so it's all good in my book.

I just really, really need to know what Madonna thinks about the movie. If you've seen the movie, you know why. :lol

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

I'm not a D and D fan but it was a great film. I was really surprised. This film probably isn't doing too good because it is sandwiched in between the release of John Wick 4 and the upcoming Mario film. Possibly another reason is that stupid thing the producers/spokespersons mentioned a type of politic that doesn't sit well with most people today (not going to get deep into it) Guess what? This film for the most part doesn't feature that but what a way to prevent people to watch your film which turned out to be a pretty fun adventure. I would like to see a sequel hopefully, but the people behind this film may have screwed that up.
