I did not pick up on it either, and I'm not sure I would have come to this conclusion if not for reading your post. I don't know how to make the "spoiler" button, but without spoiling the movie and attempting to be as vague as I can, was it the scene where he was first contacted?

I would give Glass Onion a 7/10. The reveal seemed cheap to me and it made it feel like less of a murder mystery to me than Knives Out.

All Quiet On the Western Front 2022

9/10 - Just a brutal representation on the horror that was WWI warfare without any frills and nothing over the top concerning special effects. I've read the book and original film adaptations were supposed to be a lesson in anti war. I have seen the older films years ago but without current filming technology, we as the audience are too jaded with early and perhaps overexposure to graphic sex/violence for it to have been impactful. That's not to say any single scene or scenes of combat made the point but the combination of better acting, special effects, wardrobe, and lighting did.

    Bullet Train

8/10 A quirky, over the top, easy to follow action movie with decently funny banter to pass the time.

    Its very subtle
Blanc is in the tub and he's talking to man in another room. Later, when it we flashback to Helen at Blanc's home, his partner answers the door. When I first saw it I thought he was a butler or something, but he was confirmed to be Blanc's partner.

Yup, that was the scene I had in mind but I didn't take any note of it at all.

FWIW, Daniel Craig made the reveal in the press months ago.

Creature From the Black Lagoon-Havent seen this one in ages. It still holds up pretty good. 7/10

@SHINOBI03 Oh yeah, that movie is bizarre as hell.

    Strange World 6/10
Not a terrible Disney animated feature, but its big (ha) reveal was so transparent, I could see it coming from a half-hour into the feature, and Disney Animated features are getting stupidly formulaic and . If you want a better adventure where Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal play father and son, rent The Day After Tomorrow (arguably the last good movie Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich ever made)

I too watched Strange World recently and I would also give a 6/10. Visually it looks amazing but the story is terribly dry. What I found most disappointing was that they incorporated a number of (for lack of a more inclusive term) woke concepts, but do nothing with it. I guess I was really looking forward to Disney pulling out all the stops in terms of writing to make a point of these story beats and create eye opening moments for audience members who perhaps might be less inclusive but nope they were just...there, almost like a Disney check list on how to score points with the various communities. Boo IMO.

    Glass Onion - 8/10
Fun movie, great cast, but not as good as Knives Out imo. I love Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc though. Excited for the next installment! Speaking of him…

No Time to Die - 9.5/10
I finally got around to watching this, ashamed it’s taken me this long lol. But man, what a great sendoff for Daniel Craig’s version of James Bond. It was so much fun to watch. Billie Eilish’s theme got better after hearing it with the opening credits, even though I already liked it when it released. Nice callbacks to the previous movies. Rami Malek was a great villain, too. And Léa Seydoux was wonderful as always.

Although I’ve seen other Bond movies, Daniel Craig’s iteration was effectively the one I grew up with. Despite Quantum of Solace and Spectre being meh to average at best, the others are stellar. I’m sad his tenure is up, but I’m grateful we got his saga.

    Glass Onion 7.5 / 10
Not much that I could add on. Everyone else with similar # ratings have said how I felt. My big issue was mid way through an event thrown off the pace of the movie.

Dracula-It was well acted, it had decent atmosphere, and good set locations. I was not bored, but I was not entertained. I don't know how to rank it?

    See How They Run
Wanted to check this one out all year and finally gave it a shot. Oh man, I found my most hated movie of the year. Normally I love Sam Rockwell yet here they give him nothing to work with and that goes even more for every other character on top of that. I watched a good amount of Whodunit films in 2022 so I figured why not, but this one has nothing going for it. The Look of the film is boring (by itself can be excused), the characters are boring, the stupid split screen shots are cheap and obnoxious, the humor is the same throughout and mostly bad, and it sets itself up to challenge/critique the Whodunit formula but does absolutely nothing with it.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish 9/10

Holy shit that was a great film, the animation, writing, comedy and just the pure character all through it.

This is what I want to see more out of Dreamworks, Disney and just 3D feature animations in general.

Also some great characters brought to life now in the Shrekverse.

The Jimmy Stewart Cricket is the best.

The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse-10/10

Think everyone needs a mole, a fox and a horse in their lives at some point.

The Boy-It was pretty good and had an interesting premise. Points knocked off for convoluted scheming. 7/10
