Hey, I haven't said anything truly negative about a movie in a while, at least that I have put on here. I never bothered to type my reviews for the movies I do video reviews on, so the last bad movie I watched was King Kong Lives. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Before that it was... I don't remember. Most of the movie I have been watching as of late have been Film Noirs and Hitchcock, and none of them have been even close to being bad. Even my least favorite Film Noir has had a lot of atmosphere and moments in it that makes it enjoyable.

    Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 8.5

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bajrangi_Bhaijaan

Bollywood movie my exGF wanted to see. Was a little hesitant about it (I prefer action or historical Indian movies), but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Basically, the story is about a mute Pakistani girl named Shahida who gets separated from her mother while in India. The main character, Pawan, who's Hindu (a devotee of Hanuman), crosses paths with the girl and lets her tag along with him on his trip back to Delhi, where he lives with his girlfriend.

They decide to name her "Munni" and everyone seems to think she's a Hindu girl, but little by little, people start to realize she not an average Indian kid. All the clues come together when, after watching a Cricket match where India loses to Pakistan, she claps profusely, goes up to the TV, and kisses the Paki flag that takes up most of the screen. Pawan then has to try and get her back across the border, having no idea what her real name is, or the location of her home town while evading the Pakistani police.

The overall message of the movie is that, while there is prejudice and distrust among people of both countries, good will and honesty can prevail if people really, truly want peace. I was entertained, and yeah, there are times the movie succeeds in garnering an emotional response from the viewer. The actors are great, but the one cast member who absolutely steals the show is the little girl who plays Shahida/Munni. Just the cutest kid I've ever seen, and does an amazing job of conveying emotions without saying a word for 99% of the entire movie. I believed this was a little lost girl from Pakistan the entire time I was in the theater; what a talented kid.

So yeah, it was definitely worth seeing.

    DOTM (with my son): 9/10

Well, that was my favorite viewing since I saw it in theaters. The robots look great in that one.

Got back from DBZRF about an hour or two ago. I liked it. The comedy was a little too execessive for my tastes. I did like the film though. Frieza was a cool villain, and the film helped explain the backstory without having a giant flashback in the beginning. The voice acting was phenomenal, as I expected from Funimation.
Overall, a 8/10. The voice acting really won me over, although the story is heavily cliched

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation 7/10 On a side not, I never thought the movie was going to start. They showed 8 trailers before the movie started. Took up almost 30 minutes. 8 trailers is way too many.

Heh. There's a theater in my town, located in our dying mall and it shows a bare minimum of 30 minutes of filler crap before the movie starts. Several trailers, warnings about phones and what not, but commercials also. Including local ones. I mean actual, this is what airs on TV, commercials.

Can't even escape them in a pay format. Ridiculous.

    DBZ revival of F.

It was a fun movie to watch in theatres the only thing that wasn't at least good was that it kinda dragged on a bit.

But aside from that it was a fun time.

I don't mind seeing a lot of trailers on the big screen, but I hate the abundance of TV commercials before the trailers. I wish they would just show more trailers than the same M&M's ad three times.

    Insurgent - 8/10

Saw in theaters in terrible 3D to the point I couldn't see it well. Bought on DVD last night before seeing DBZRF and just watched it again. The only problem I had was that they cut half the book. I still like who they picked to play Four cause I love seeing him and Tris together. I'm so excited to see Allegiant Part 1 next year!

You are the first person to have any sort of review posted. That makes me happy because I was kind of worried there.

The Lady Vanishes - This was really really good. There were times it felt more like a comedy mixed into a suspense thriller, and yet, the blend was perfect. The characters were all interesting and had their own little quirks to them. The plot was intriguing even if the outcome was slightly predictable (but it probably wasn't back in 1938). And everything just kept you engaged. It also had a great build up and never felt like it was dragging on at all. I give it a nice 8/10 stars.

Could have been a bit longer.
