Horrible movie, awesome design. Need I say more?

 

I don't think the Premier Leader Class figure gets enough love. Sure, yeah, the arm blaster isn't anywhere near accurate as it's the nose of the plane, but man...that transformation is incredible. And he might be a tad out of scale with some of the TLK figures, but he's sort of on par with current SS Leader Class figures. Works for me. Goes to show you that the toys suffered when the movies did. They just got worse and worse with little bright spot moments here and there, same with the figure line.

 

It was pretty damn cool. It was like a Dark Souls boss mixed with Megatron, and unlike AOE Optimus kept the character's more distinct elements. I genuinely believe if TF07 Megatron had the same face as TLK Megs the design would've been more well-received, as it actually evokes G1 Megatron's face quite well.

Just a shame it didn't have that sweet dragon mode.

 

Easily my favorite movie Megatron design. Instead of being just spikes on spikes, the sleeker look really helps him just look more distinct and cool. It was also just nice for him to finally have a head that didn't feel oversized  

 

Absolutely badass design. Would’ve been awesome if they stuck with the dragon alt mode too as that could have made it even better.

 

Design was interesting; Yet, the head looks similar to Ultron. . .

 

They should save his dragon mode intact for future knightverse movies, I wouldn't even have any complaints.

Amen. Megatron made out like a bandit in TLK.

 

It's not my favorite design for Megatron from the movies, but it is an awesome look! The sword, fusion cannon, and battle mask are all awesome design choices and I feel he pulls off the armored knight look the best out of all the designs that share that trait.

Oh wow that actually works quite well! I always felt TLK Megatron's head was a tad too smooth, I really missed his forehead crest/crown from the trilogy.

 

Love this design tied with DOTM Megatron as my favorite of his live-action design. It really is great, love that he had a battle mask, and also they finally gave him his arm cannon. I get the Ultron comparisons but I still don't mind the "tusks" sticking out. Such a great design. Look forward to buying it in SS (probably in the next 2 years).

Like the head design we got but I would have loved this. Looks great and blends well, really well made.

 

It was certainly a cool design and it contrasted nicely with AOE/TLK Prime to boot. Wish we got to see more of those two doing battle on screen.

 

Perfectly agree, this gladiator mode is the best.
I just wish we got to see that concept shield.

Part of me hoped that he'd still be Galvatron. Just have him be purple and give him the familiar headdress. Maybe have the cannon glow orange as a subtle homage.

 

Agree, but not fully though, its the best futuristic design also.

if you did not know, some of the KSI bots are a mix of deceased autobots and decepticons, I can see from their cgi and identify the similarities.

E.g., one of the bots is a mix of sideways and dino

I didn't mean change the design entirely (even though the movie already did), just some little adjustments.

 

It is a sick design. It has more prominent cheekpieces, triangular gaps on its forehead, a slender face, and a giant forearm canon like G1 while still being its own thing. Josh Nizzi meant for Megatron to be a dragon, which would've been great, but the studio had other plans. Instead, he transforms into a sword-shaped jet. It still sorta works because he also transforms into a hand weapon in G1, albeit a pistol. A huge missed opportunity is that he never impales anyone as a giant rocket sword. Another waste of this design is that they scrapped the gladiator origin they had planned, which would've fit the design and been a welcome retcon for Marvel fans.

 

Althoughi prefer DotM Megatron i think TLK megatron was still very cool. At first i didnt like the sheeps head but i actually grew to like it.

I wish I could heart react this because this looks awesome! I still wish it had the forehead bit from the first 3, but this looks fantastic.
