I know the original G1 line is massive, and that the line of what does and doesn't count as G1 can be blurry at times. I believe Sunstreaker is effectively the first designed (if not the first sold) G1 figure, but I was wondering if we know the bot standing on the opposite side of the spectrum. Who could be considered "the last" G1 figure? Either the latest designed, the latest sold, the latest marketed as being part of that original first generation line. Would it be one of those Micromaster combiners from Japan's Operation Combination maybe?

Again, fully aware answers may very depending on what you, personally, mean by "last." So all answers or even just suggestions welcome!

It would have to be an Euro G1 figure. prephaps Clench or Pyro? Which set of toys would make the most sense to be last?

According to TFWiki, the Chinese G1 line lasted until 1995, ending with rereleases of the Multiforce, Brainmasters, and Breastforce. As for the last G1 toy that was designed, it's probably something from the 1993 European lineup. I don't know if Andy Couzens (RIP) left enough notes to determine which specific figure.

I’m very curious if any designed Euro G1 toys were ever shunted over into G2, as I do know that some of the Euro G1 toys were released in Japan in 1992 as part of ‘Operation Combination’.

Some of the Japanese 1992 Micromaster Combiner characters like Sixwing, Sixturbo etc were likely designed concurrently with the Euro G1 characters from the same year like Thunderclash & Skyquake.

I agree the Euro 1993 line is likely the last part of the ‘original’ G1, as Hasbro US had started with G2 while Takara domestically skipped Transformers till 1995, focusing on Brave in the meantime.

Considering Euro 1993 toys are still classed as G1, or at least G1.5, it’s likely someone like Pyro, Clench or Ironfist, or at least one of these toys will be the last ones ‘designed’ for G1.
