Yes, the chin plate is no longer a small extrusion. It was a lot of work, but amounts to less than a mm difference.
so, this limited run of 30 is to receive them fully painted and assembled ready for use, yes? the files will still be avaliable after?
That's correct. The files on Cults are up for good and priced much cheaper, just to help spread the development costs.
Which Galvatron heads are you doing? Are you planning on revisiting the 4 prong toy head? I love mine but I’d love a properly designed one instead of the goobered one I had/modded. also which Megatron heads are you releasing? G1, G2, or both?
Oh these look absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately I don't have or have access to a printer, so I'm definitely interested in purchasing these. Are you planning on offering Blurr for purchase as well? That Kup with the cygar and gray cartoon style Galvatron head for the Select Galvatron look spectacular.
Are we talking printer, media, or settings? Each has a trade off, but most resin printers will give good results with a range of resins and 0.05mm layer height is fine enough without having to wait ages for a print. I won't have time to make any adjustments, but I can reprint any of the Galvatron heads, including the 4-pronger. If I wrap it in multiple layers of bubble wrap, do you think that will help, or just encourage your postman to lob it around more? Yes, both G1 and G2 heads are available! Thank you, much appreciated. Goonspoons is currently offering awesome painted Blurr heads and is better located to deliver heads to the majority of people on the boards. I decided to step back and push STL delivery due to redundancy and respect for another member here. I got a bit carried away with the amount of heads on offer, but don't want to cramp anyone's style with a coincidental release.
I want a Kup cygar head for sure please. I have the Buzzworthy Kup, but I remember/understand u said may not be doing its colour exactly.
Definitely doing Buzzworthy colors, as a member here has generously sent me a copy which should arrive soon! Please check PM for details. Thank you everybody! All batches have been filled and week (batch) 1 begins on Sunday. If anyone is still interested, just like the last run I will be keeping a standby list. While I produce by order, I do overproduce by a small amount as a contingency. On the odd occasion an order will not be finalised with payment, also, which will open up another spot. I can't guarantee all options will be available and there will be a longer wait period, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
I find myself interested in buying a Kup head for my Buzzworthy Kup, so hope to have an opportunity to buy one in the future.
I've got you down on my list and will let you know as I get closer to the end, but I'm confident I'll have a few spares.
Oh wow that is sooo much better than what came off the shelf. I've never liked how long Kup's head was, but this is great! I'd love to get my hands on that
I'll put you down on the list too I've just had a member ask me about removal of the factory head, but I figure it's best to mention it here. The factory head is in pretty tight, so when I removed it, I used a small slotted screwdriver and pushed the ball joint out, so as to avoid putting the joint under too much stress. There's a small expansion port for the ball joint which is accessible from the underside of the black PA mounting plate. Here's a recreation with a gnarly looking oxidised screwdriver. While I'm talking installation and damage minimisation, I should advise that when installing the new head to please ensure it is either fully assembled, or at least partially assembled with a face in place. This avoids handling the eyes directly. As this is a deluxe toy, the eyes are quite small and are structurally the weakest part. The faces are made to be inserted directly without turning, to avoid shear stress and support the eyes when in place.
After my Galvatron mishap I'm very happy for this. Seems far easier and no worrying about sliding his face in the wrong way.
Here's my copy. A mixture of spray and handpaint. Here's my paint mix for those painting theirs: Lacquer Faces = TS Tamiya Royal Light Gray + Pledge to shine it a bit Acrylic hand paint. Helmet = Vallejo Blue Green +Sky Blue+ Tamiya Flat Black Scalp = White + Vallejo Blue Green + Golden Yellow Eyes = Mr.Color Acrysion Sky Blue Airbrush is still recommend than hand paint. I used small amounts of Taniya Paint Reta rder to level the paint and avoid brush strokes.
