anytime - my phone sucks, my wife's phone is new every year but I can't play with it, and the digital camera takes too long in my eyes to take quick shots... but I'll always help when I can! :thumb

Tons of comments and reviews in this thread.

    In short, no. YMMV.

    I have 3 questions:

I see that there are several versions of the KO Classics Optimus Prime...which ones are good? I have Classics Prime already, but I like that crystal one I see floating around (I have a strange thing for transparent Transformers, as my love of Dark Energon Prime figures can attest). Also interested in the Shattered Glass variant.
Second question is in regards to the KO Fansproject armor for Classics Rodimus. Anyone have experience with this?
Thrid, and lastly, I'm a huge fan of the Cybertron Hot Shot mold. I don't know why, but I really dig it...I see Sir Toys has a KO of this mold...if anyone has it...would it be worth getting for modding purposes?

KO's of classics prime come in many flavors of quality... there's the basic low quality that breaks easily and is loose all to hell - the Kold versions which are slightly better, then the KODX versions that are right under the originals.

I believe I have every one ever made except for the clear (no color at all), kold st. patty's day prime, kold toxitron, and the lucky draw official versions.

if there is a specific one you are looking at, I'll most likely be able to tell you if it is a tier 1, 2 or 3 KO if you need the help. :thumb

that's the KODX henkei-colored classics version... for all those that couldn't afford the original henkei - great quality.

Thanks! I'm actually looking at a few:
Optimus Prime Blue Convoy - TF - SirToys.com
Optimus Prime Classics White - TF - SirToys.com
Optimus Prime Shattered Glass Convoy - TF - SirToys.com
    http://www.toymoda.com/goods.php?id=308

I can't seem to remember what site I saw the crystal red one. I thought I had it bookmarked, but I guess not.

I must say, people on these boards are really friendly and helpful.

the blue convoy is a kold first run, it's acceptable in quality with loose joints - tier 2 ko

the white optimus (ko magnus) is very loose and fragile in the door hinges - if it breaks, I can show you how to mod it to have the broken doors still function as shoulderpads - tier 1 ko

shattered glass (singe window crack version) is either a tier 2 or tier 3 depending on the production run - if they claim high quality, it might be the KODX version... worst case it's tier 2 with loose joints.

the purple with teal stripes (there is a purple with silver stripes too) is a straight kold, tier 2 ko

as for the translucent optimii you may come across - the first ko of one is tier 1-2 and is a kold, be careful of the plastic as it can be brittle (like the ko ultra magnus/white optimus from above)... if it is the KODX higher quality, it is tier 3, almost perfect... of course the holy grail of translucents in this mold are the henkei crystal. the KODX is pretty close, so just make sure you know what you are clicking "buy" on.

most KO classics primes will not hold the FP trailer commander armor like an official version does - the KO's tend to have slightly thinner/skinnier shoulders and the armor just rests on it, no clicking on... the forearms are the same story as the shoulders.

    hole that helps! :thumb

I don't know if this belongs here but what the hell. I found this at a flea market over ten years ago and it was so wrong I had to have it. I'd forgotten I even had it until today. I should repurpose him as a G1 Hearts of Steel character, but I don't know who.

Anyway here's the bot who shouldn't be, Titanic-bot! Yup, that's what they called him. He winds up and floats too! :lol

If they made a leader Evasion Prime, and god help me, Leader Nemesis Prime from that same mold, I'd buy both in a heartbeat.
I'm still holding out for the people doing all the MP-10 KO Repaints to finally do MP-10b. They've done just about every other imaginable color scheme BUT!

I think those "green ones" are based on Happy Well figures.
