Ok. I gave the aliexpress scam a whirl for shits and giggles. Ordered bee, scoria, and that 3rd party mp mirage. Also set an alarm on google calendar for 2 days before the timeout just in case. I will update if i ever get anything in hand. Not really counting on it. But figured why not?

I would only try buying that stuff with a prepaid credit card or gift Visa cards. Your purchase might be protected but he could have some way to get your info through the card.

Alipay is a layer of separation, just like Paypal. The Alibaba group is basically as big as ebay/paypal. The whole point of the setup is the seller doesn't get access to the card, only Alipay does, and they've been around a while, just not well known domestically.

For him to get any kind of card info it would be on the order of hacking Paypal. No need to spread misinformation.

 

What about if you used express shipping option? Even 60 to ship a 24 dollar transistor would still be a bargain and at least you could verify well within the safe period. Just an idea.

Do not pay with anything outside of what AliExpress says to pay with (Paypal is not one of them). You lose any protection from them in that regards.

 

No they have their own thing which takes credit cards, uncle billy is a good seller, nothing to worry about. This is the second time i've purchased from him. The first time i bought x-transbot glider and he told me they were out of the boxes and i was going to get the white-versions box, i told him i didn't want it then and he went and found me a glider box for it.

 

Hey all, I'll be filling those requests for pics when I get home from work in a few hours (police officer, evening shift, hope I don't end up with a late arrest, etc).

In the meantime, I've been scouring the interwebs on my downtime for some pictures from an Asian review of the Wei Jiang Aoe Hound that included the DR WU M02 MERCENARY set as part of the shoot. I think it looks much better on the KO than it does on the retail release, but I can't find the pics to save my life. I'd love to share them with y'all if I can locate them.

They stopped taking Paypal a few years back, when they started kicking ebay's butt in china (same parent company as taobao). Any Paypal is a direct payment to the seller...not safe at all.
