Despite being a fairly straight-on photo of the team, I think it downplays the size difference between them. Razorclaw feels a lot bigger in-hand.

But, with the exception of the POTP version, I think basically all other versions of Predaking end up with a much-larger Razorclaw (I agree that the TFC version is probably the biggest size difference). While I think there are some aesthetic compromises with the POTP team, I must give Hasbro credit. They engineered a surprisingly excellent and fun-to-transform large combiner with five similar-sized robots. Not bad, really.

Hasbro would charge $35 for it, much like their masks. (I'm completely serious btw.)

Is there any knockoffs of Softimus Prime out there? Y'know, that plush of Optimus Prime that transforms?

It seems to be not available officially anymore and any listings of it on secondhand sites go for ridiculous prices.

No knock offs of it. Best bet is to watch ebay/Mercari/Facebook marketplace like a hawk for a listing.

That's actually pretty cool. Looks like an extension of the old Real Gear line.

What's especially hilarious about this to me as a huge Titanic nerd is that, whether intentional or probably not, it ends up looking more like the proposed 'Titanic 2' design than the actual RMS Titanic, with its open deck for lifeboats beneath the white superstructure:

I wanted to check out the details on one of these downsize G1 seekers released by Kingtoys. So I got Sunstorm, or as he is called... Sunstrom!

    IMG_20230326_140843006.jpg

First thing I noticed on the boxes it seems to have the bio for G1 Thrust and the box back art is from Dreamwave.

    IMG_20230326_140853501.jpg

The instructions are also pretty good...

    IMG_20230326_140954071.jpg

Fun thing is that they say that they are licensed in China and the instructions refer to transformers.com ... Okey dokey.

    IMG_20230326_140957860.jpg

I'll take a closer look at the toy later.

Would be nice. My guess is they are worried Hasbro will make one in their commander series.

I wonder if they could combine Star convoy and the apex bomber thing into one sort of super SUPER optimus prime design

I'm wondering. Is it possible that this undersized Predaking is the same mold as the downscaled version that was teased at a Chinese toy con years ago?

    Probably?

All these years I always thought of what have happened to those lot. Even went all over Aliexpress looking for them to no avail in my search for a Predaking

Edit: Found these. They look to be better painted. The packaging also reminded me of old WeiJiang.

Yeah, the paint and presentation is better, but they might be the same molds.

I mean, it always seemed weird that they would have potentially gone through the cost to make molds for these, and done packaging mock-ups and stuff, and then never released them or used the molds for anything.
