I don't own that G2-style Prime, but they look standard size to me. And I couldn't discern the simplification in the hips that Autobot Prowl was talking about. Based solely on what I've seen up till now, these look like straight 1:1 copies, minus the painted clear plastic parts.

I mean I could be wrong, but it looks like it doesn't fold up like the original. That makes the hips awkward. If it's actually undersized I might be interested again...

They have to compress for vehicle mode don't they? those joints only exist to make the bot mode legs into the combiner arms.

Like I said I could be wrong, I haven't handled the original in about 10 years or so. Hopefully we can get confirmation soon.

Based on the comparison pics they look slightly oversized to me. I wonder if this thing will get other color releases. Would love the all yellow or standard colors over the green.

    Definitely undersized... Definitely not simplified:

Excuse the prototypes, they were the easiest to get to for comparison. ;)

Build King was not actually terribly large. Meanwhile, those Armada Seekers are not small. This photo doesn't convince me yet. :)

Still, if it's undersized, that's sort of interesting.

I don’t have any use for an undersized Build King if it actually it. Cool that’s is not simplified. Would be nice to see an oversized one at some point to pair him against my Constructicins.

Finally got my hands on a Happy Well X-Wing...which I immediately tore apart and went to work on.

Some things just need a coat of paint, I'll tell ya...

Absolutely...and making my job easier, to boot. Making ships look beat up is a hell of a lot of fun :D

Just needs a few blaster scorches...

I like that Landfillastator. I didn't pay much attention to it because I thought it was OSKO and simplified. But if it retains the original articulation and is undersized... I wonder how it would fit with Legends? Because now I am super curious.

Been busy on vacation week with the kids, and I can't get to my official 3 sets of buildking/devastator, but these figures for comparison are easy access for pics.

Fansproject Glacialord is basically normal g1 combiner height for scramble city gestalts... (think Bruticus, Defensor, etc)

    20220622_175109.jpg

And here are a few reissue g1 minibots...

    20220622_175610.jpg

Hope this helps... this devastator is undersized. :thumb

    Edit: found this image online...

    Limb-swapping glacialord and computron.:lol

Looks like a 1:1 ko to me as far as the size goes. Rid01 Landfill was smaller than Ruination who was just the G1 Bruticus mold

    Yeah, there we go

Seems like the KO Landfill is 1:1 then?

The quality looks pretty decent from your pics.

Ack!  am I really recalling buildking being much larger than this?

This thing feels so... tiny to me atm.

I stand corrected... So weird to see those 2 together that @Fenrys shows, as I have a childhood core memory that buildking was much bigger... Mandela Effect working overtime on me I suppose?

Yea, if I recall correctly, he was somewhere between mega and ultra in height, but it's been like 15 years since I had him.

Since we've gotten CW figures and the Titans combiners like Predaking and Devastator (and even all the 3P stuff) it's easy to forget how long it took for Hasbro to finally achieve decent-sized combiners that didn't suck.

I really like the Build King team... it was pretty neat for the time (around 1999-ish?)... but the combined mode is not great.

Even Rail Racer / JRX, which seemed like the best modern combiner for a long time, feels a bit primitive and tiny by current standards.
