Try a piece of paper, tissue, or electric tape. Break off a small square and throw it into the joint.

 

Yeah electrical tape is what I have in there now and It seems to be doing the trick.

 

I find that electrical tape tends to be a bit more 'slippery' over time, and can leave more gooey residue. Cloth tape is a bit better because it sticks slightly more, and it has a bit more texture to generate friction in the joint.

Can anyone tell me how the quality is on that Bumblebee Movie Optimus ko is? The one that's not upscaled or anything. I see it's cheap for like $15 shipped on Aliexpress and was wondering if it was worth getting?

I have two, they're good. Only issue I had was the inner portion of the legs didn't tab so well, usually on the Hasbro version that part comes apart as you try and pose the figure but on the KOs I got the panels just wouldn't tab in at all.

 

I have one. Can confirm... good quality overall... quite nice. But the leg panels are a bit fussy to get into alt-mode.

Easily worth the price though.

Are there many options for a CHUG scale blue optimus prime?

 

Not really. There's the Takara Magna Convoy from the classics mold, a KO from the same mold, there's an Amazon Prime themed Optimus coming that TFU.info teased as a blue cab retooled from the ER Optimus as well. For deluxes there's the G2 Combat Hero themed redeco of RTS Laser Optimus as well. Not sure about all the KOs out there except the one from the Classics mold though.

 

If you want a high-end figure, not a lot that I can think of.

In the medium-grade KO spectrum, there's this voyager-sized KO of CW Legends Pipes... with a head-swap, it wouldn't look bad. The design is simple, but still pretty sturdy. The articulation is fair, and the chest is diecast.

The blue on mine is actually a bit paler than it appears in this photo. I swapped in a slightly smaller KO Reverse Convoy head on mine (sorry, don't have a picture handy) and it looks surprisingly badass. Or you could just swap from the regular Optimus one (if you find one cheap)

Mine arrived today, bought it with box. Seller used lots of bubble, but it was crushing the figure... and shipped in a fricking bag!!! along with the Binaltech KO

Still, seems to only have one broken cannon (also with a spring, that creates more tension). Ill try to transform with care eventually
