In general, what batteries do most KO and 3rd Party figures all these years, specifically the MP ones for both KO and 3P, use? (esp for all the combiner's eyes, and specifically my XTB Deadend's headlights.) It's some sort of small silver round battery I can't put my finger on. Some of my figs come with them preinstalled. Forgot to mention it's also prominent in certain weapons too.

 

Look up the item on ebay - usually someone will say what the batteries are on one of the listings.
I think I know the batteries you are are refering too (the ones in the light up Matrix's perhaps ?) they used to use common watch batteries more often in the past - which are obviously way easier to get.

 

Was referring to these batteries. Yes though, I think they can vary depending on the figure. Might have to look up what they use.

Spotted that one. The only one at the original MSRP out there it seems. Just hoping that the KO thread could point me towards a lower cost CW Devy that isn't the reduced size 31cm figure I find on Ali-Express and e-Bay. But maybe those are the only choices. So difficult to guess the right keywords on Ali-Express sometimes or what kind of funky description a Chinese e-bay seller will give to KO figures.

 

The reissue of CW Devastator is an Amazon exclusive, so you'll only find it at that price there. The only versions of it are the Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors originals and the undersized CoolBecomeBrave KO. For the original versions, there are upgrade kits that improve the shoulders, the Mixmaster foot and more. They're by DNA Designs, Perfect Effect and X2 Toys. Unfortunately all are long out of production and hard to find.

 

Yep, those are your only options. There are no 1:1 KOs

Those are the season 1 figures. I bought and reviewed almost all of them.

They plugged in the arms on the wrong sides, easy fix

 

Yeah, it's just plugged in on the opposite side. It's just funny to see human error.

Yeah, these are basically partsformers like a Weaponizer or fossilizer, but with less configuration options.

I like the black and red one I bought, but can't really justify more at the prices they run given the plastic quality and lack of actual transformation engineering. $35-45 for something that feels "okay" seems a bit too steep to me.

 

Yeah, the legs and arms can swap. They're only like 20.00 on sirtoys, which is totally worth it. I think they're better than a deluxe figure.

 

The hard/cheap plastic quality as well as lack of articulation and transformation engineering make me personally disagree with that, but to each their own.

To boot, the cheaper ones are a little plain for my tastes and I won't shop ST ever again, so there's that *shrug*

 

Fair points. The plastic quality is lower than transformers, but I'd say on par with some studio series figures. The lack of neck articulation and very limited leg articulation are definitely issues season 2 should have fixed. I like simpler robots and have almost no studio figures, so take that into account.
