From what I know, the MFT KO dinobots has two versions available which is a G1 toon color variant, and a more expensive premium metallic color variant.

Silhouette and size wise, those don't look too bad. With some additional effort of painting and gap-filling, I bet those could look fantastic with some extra effort.

 

Bot mode on that hound looks pretty good but the Alt mode looks horrible!! I dont get all that black crap where the windshield should be and I hate visible peg holes that show while in alt mode on any figure.
I am wanting MP-47 but not at that price so I guess I have to wait till its KO'ed and hope the price will be better.
I really dont get all these exuberantly high prices they are asking for, for all these MP figures. I mean where the heck do they get off asking $400+ dollars for MP-44 when the KO TE-01 is only around $100 bucks and is basically the same figure.
Even at a $100 bucks thats seems pretty high to me. I personally think they should cost $75-$100 for large figures and smaller ones like MP-45 should only be around $25-$40.

What would you call it then cause its sure not authentic,official or approved by first party HB or TK..?? All though I sure like it a lot and think some of these KO's should be official, but thats not the point. The point is they need to drop the prices on some of this stuff.

 

It is unlicensed third party. Kos are directly based off of an existing physical product, unlicensed third party is original molds and engineering based on an existing intellectual property

Hmmm... I thought TE-01 was a KO based on MP-44?? I didnt realize he is an original figure not based on any Optimus Prime..
Anyways back on topic, are there any other dinobots to go along with Grimlock with that G1 cartoon color theme or is it just Grimlock?
Also that Hound isn't to bad at $11 bucks shipped, I just get OCD if the figures dont look like the cartoon in robot mode and in alt Mode.

Yes they do I totally think so as well. I bought Hound , Sideswipe , and Red Alert from Aoyi Mech on ebay a couple weeks back so they should be arriving shortly.
I am pretty excited for the Earth Rise G1-ish style figures coming up and hope BMB or Aoyi Mech oversize some of those figures as well.
That Cliff Jumper earth rise figure looks pretty darn close to MP quality and is very similar to X-transbots Toro.

 

If they upsize er cliffjumper I’ll replace my ace toys one in a heart beat

 

I dont even own a Bumblebee or Cliff Jumper yet in any form. But I am hoping like you that they oversize the Earthrise figures because this figure looks good to me except for the back pack gimmick.

 

Too bad the official is too small. He's quite a bit snaller than MP-21.

 

Yeah I canceled my order for Cliff after seeing how small he is. Would buy an OS one of it stood about MP or Classics BB height.

 

I went and added some paint on my MFT Grimlock (As well as adding a waterslide Autobot emblem decal)...

 

Oh damn that looks awesome!! now we just need the rest of the team in that color theme.

 

Hound is amazing. I am actively looking for aesthetics beyond what Takara is currently offering so I really love Siege. My complaint is the size, modern deluxe has no shelf presence. Whereas this OS KO is more in line with the Beast Wars Ultra class I grew up with and still cheaper!

 

i do not mind if the KO gonna be oversize or same size, but i want them to at least add some hinges, connecting to the backpack, so that no partsforming is needed for transformation.
