These first ones are pretty good. There are some slight simplifications in the molds, but the quality is pretty, and many of them incorporate diecast metal parts. They are OVERSIZED to about voyager size... quite a bit bigger than the officials. I own the Strongarm, Megatronus, Grimlock, and Sideswipe, and I've handled the Optimus and Drift.

Megatronus and Sideswipe are excellent. Grimlock is very good, but his elbows are a bit too tight, so you can get stress marks on them. The Optimus is quite good, and the Drift is OK.

Strongarm is not a great mold to begin with, and the back-kibble on the KO has a shallower hinge, so it doesn't fold up very well. If the back kibble doesn't bother you too much, it's a fairly good, sturdy KO.

I'm more than happy to sell my legit Has/Tak RID 2015 collection to you and your son. Hit me up with a PM and we can discuss the details.

Ankle tilt. Elbow area arm swivel. Wrists are fixed. A bit of knee bend.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the offer. I don't think I need a whole collection as we do have a couple Has/Tak RID figures. Just looking to maybe add a couple favorite characters that are missing.

The OS Grimlock, Megatronus, and Optimus are good because they're closer to proper television scale with the regular sized Warrior-class figures.

I've heard that the Hasbro Sideswipe figure is not so good. Fussy, and his shoulders don't stay up... but the OS version I have is rock solid. Really nice.

I agree nu-RID can be a pain to chase, I still need to get Ratchet, Shatterspike, and Bisk and a few other TRU & Walmart exclusives in Warrior class size myself.
I wish they'd made a Warrior Thundercracker before ending the line too.

They are good - they actually exist in all plastic and partly metal form as well. They might be a bit big for some people (aside from Grimlock Megatronus, or Optimus who have a good size).

Grimlock's side hinges are usually assembled wrong on the dinosaur mode and need to be flipped over. & Drift is missing the posts on the car mode to store the swords. Other than that they are perfectly decent - they are more or less on a par with the Overscale Combiner Wars toys.

Just got the mini TM2 BW Megatron. It's adorable at Legends size but the quality is very ko. Still, he looks good with tank drones and stuff and will do until the Iron Factory version comes out. I just don't dare transform him again!
