Alright, thanks. It’s pretty cool that he was original then. Yeah, the jet was based off of the Classics Thunderwing mold. Now that I think about it, there was a military vehicle guy that I didn’t recognize, he’s probably something original too. Thanks for the answer!

Any new rumbling from CBB? They just dropped their KO Devy and I thought they were doing a KO G2 Arielbots. I would expect Computron and Menasor soon.

How is the quality of this? same as the mp28 ko? does it comes with a matrix?

 

I don't have this KO but @Jtotheiso187 just received his KO MP-40 and he says the quality is good.
As far as I know it doesn't come with a matrix.

 

I received my KO MP-40 today.

There are sprue marks on the chromed parts on his arm and the paint has been slightly missed on his shoulder which is viable in bot mode.

The tip of the spoiler is also missing as it has snapped (it wasn't even in the box) so I've messaged my seller to see whether they can get a replacement part sent out to me.

Apart from that, he's solid enough and could be a worthy addition to your collection.

Does anyone know if there is a KO of the MP-36+ Toy Deco Megatron out? I have some custom ideas and don't want to spend/ruin a TakaraTomy one.

 

There was one made by Magten. Don't think it was a perfect match since it was released way earlier.

 

No, There is no KO of MP-36+. But there is one that is ALL chrome and one that is ALL gold chrome. Other than that, there is Magten which is all metallic paint but it still has the distorted "toon" Decepticon logo. Just save up a bit and get the official. It is marked down on sale just about everywhere.

 

I have no idea what it was called (probably the one mentioned above)- but I have a KO I got for probably under $100. It lacks the chrome and red plastic of the new Takara version- but has the same toy head and chest. It was revealed/released before Takara's was revealed, but in hindsight they appear to have had the design files for takara's since these are the same parts new to takara's. So he's out there. Not sure about finding him though. Even when i got him it was tough to be sure which ones included the parts.

I've been on the fence about picking up the official (and haven't). If I didn't have this guy I might have.

 

There are many KO MP-36s that include a Toy Head and chest. THF Dynastron and IT-01 (Emperor of Destruction) are just two examples.

But they aren't the full Toy Deco of the MP-36+.

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see one in time as the + carbots have started to be ko'd.

 

 
I wonder if more of us have been waiting for them to finish the OS’d KO for CW menasor.

I mean, not only have entire sets & waves of official and KO’d bots come and gone since they started, but it even during the time when Paul was still using warpath for comparison pics... 


I suppose the writing might’ve been on the wall when they shortchanged us on the hfg piece, but I wouldn’t think they’d shortchange the remainder of the release for the full combiner...  

Still holding onto hope for the completion of this OS’d KO set & the production/delivery of more gestalts to come.
