I just got my Scraper yesterday and it's great. Everything holds together well and the simplification works to the toy's benefit. Don't compare it to the Generation Toy version it's based of, though. This seems to be great competition for the Combiner Wars Constructicons. I put him into leg mode and it seemed very sturdy. We'll see how it is when the rest are out but I'm optimistic.

My NBK Scraper never arrived from China. At least I got a refund from the seller, but it still feels like a big waste of time, and I have no Scraper. Grr.

That movie Starscream, how big is it? Looks like the oversized Leader from a few years back but in better colors and not the G1 theme.

Thank you. I actually used two separate decal sets for Exhaust because there were differences between the two that were present on the real-world Stratos 598 Group 5 Silouhette race car. As an example the tall "l" and "b" on the nose livery, small livery detailing, colors, variances in the Heuer sponsorships, as well as the dash on the spoiler between Lancia and Marlboro. I also used the blank number roof sticker from the Reprolabels Wheeljack set to cover the Decepticon logo because the original G1 "Marlboor" was never part of the TF toy line. The only thing missing from each set is the large Marlboro text on each of the upper quarter panels.

One of the sets had the front nose livery printed on white to cover the factory Lancia tampo, but I was unhappy with the short lettered l and b and I could really see that it was a cover-up. I tried a few chemicals to remove the tampo but I was unhappy with the results so I used Testors hobby sanding films starting with 320 grit to remove the nose livery and the "Slipstream" wording from the sides of the rear spoiler. Then I went to 400 grit to smooth it out and then finally wet sanded at 600 grit to smooth it all out even further and restore the luster. I finished it off by hitting it with a plastic polish and a buffing wheel on my Dremel at medium speed and very light pressure.

To get the ventilation detailing to work with the decals I first placed them lightly where I wanted. Once in place I hit them very carefully and briefly with my heat gun set to 480* pressing firmly with my thumbs to set the decals. I then repeated the process with the heat gun but used the pointed end of my Swiss Army pocket knife's toothpick to set the decals in the groove even further starting from the front of the vents working my way up. I use the toothpick for a lot of decals I apply because it is firm yet pliable enough to not mar or tear the decals. I did the same thing to the Marlboro livery at the nose, but the muted finish of the decals doesn't reflect the detailing as well as the Lancia does.

These are the sets I used:

Hope this helps you guys, cheers!

It's the simplified Jinbao one that has been out a few years.
you can see all the variants at this page on sirtoys..
    Search - SirToys.com

I had two of them for a while, about a year then sold them for next to nothing just for space. While they are not bad, they are simplified, and not a direct copy/replica or anything. And cheaper plastic of course, but when I say cheaper, comparable to mainline hasbro toy quality, not great, not bad, just in between.

    Um, warbo what?
that's a nickname that kind of became the name for the company that makes a whole bunch of stuff, can you mention the specific toy, or character or pic?

Every now and then I pop back in here and dump a whole bunch of pics. If anyone wants more regular dumps ...then eat more prunes. I'll stop in more often with pics of the many KOs I see on my toy hunting rounds if y'all like.
