MB Legends OS Huffer - TF - SirToys.com

Os rodimus/blackjack from my understanding won't fit as a chest piece.

I think he was reviewing a friend's version of the toy. Sorry to be vague, but I watched it on my PS3, via the auto-recommend filter, so I can't remember the uploader/channel.

I remember the tolerances video on the OS WFC Optimus; it was the John Garringer video.

Is this a problem across the board or just his?

It's a problem with making anything big out of plastic designed for small parts and weight. The bigger it is, the more problems their will be.
Unless it was a super expensive thing engineered with stronger parts etc.
Or a cheap thing but made super light weight so as to still be able to stand and not collapse etc.
If something is going to be really big, it needs to be made out a stronger grade of plastic etc, where you tend to run into less detail and options.
You could make something the size of a slide at a kids playground, but then you will need actual nuts and bolts if it's going to have moving parts, and not tiny bits that break or fall apart.

this is still your best option

An upscaled CW Optimus? I don't think that exists. I mean if it does, this is the first I've heard of it. Where did you see / hear of it?
I'm wondering if you are confusing it with one of the video game related toys that came out recently, as there were a couple of those.
There were also some 3P add on kits for CW Prime, maybe it was that you saw?
That kit gives him an IDW Orion Pax art look. He is also taller with the kit.

"SND Primo Vitalis Upgrade Kit Transformers Combiners Wars Optimus Prime"

Other than that, you have the KO upscale of the Defensor from CW that was on the last couple of pages, that's the only upscaled thing I've seen of CW.

Other recent Prime toys included Voyager-ish sized Primes, from diff companies - ones based on WFC, one on FOC.
Anyhow, just mention more specifically what it may be. And if there is an OS CW Prime I want to know because I never bought the regular one..

Love the Primo Vitalis kit though. Such a cool looking comic style Optimus. Almost makes me wish I'd hung on to my CW Optimus, pretty pricey kit but I guess it does bring him close to Leader height.

Although I think only Huffer was technically part of CW (as a recolour of generations legend optimus) I believe the MB OS came out around the same time. Direct link in case that's what you're looking for:

I knew there was something I was forgetting. I don't buy the smaller scale ones (and have rarely ever seen them other online, not in my local stores) and assume it was a voyager or deluxe size, which there is not one.
Yeah, seems obvious now considering how many of those OS Legends came out in recent months. DOH!

Anyhow, Smart Lulu (formerly ebay champion, now on Ali Express)
has the Prime and all the other Legends OS for about $10 each with free shippint, and you can also buy them in groups for a better price I think.

    single Prime Os figure:
Aliexpress.com : Buy no retail box 12cm tall Optimus Prime Figure from Reliable figure manufacturers suppliers on smartlulup2010

    Group of 4 for $22
Aliexpress.com : Buy no retail box Bumblebee Optimus Prime Hot Rodimus Powerglide Figure from Reliable box shop suppliers on smartlulup2010

I don't know what size the regular small ones are, these measure as 12 CM, so I would the the size of the regular ones first.

For $50, the kit isn't really all that pricey, especially when you look at what folks are paying for just hands and feet for their Combiners. Before the designer of the kit threw in with S.N.D., he was releasing pieces on Shapeways, and getting all of the pieces printed there was gonna run so much more. $50 for the better quality plastic, already in the correct colors, transforming an eyesore of a figure into a centerpiece, while not making it into a partsformer, AND retaining the combiner gimmick? Not too bad at all.

I like that kit a lot. But not enough that I want to spend around $100 to get the finished figure. I mean for that price I could buy all sorts of other stuff.
Sometimes I wonder with those kits that replace up to 75% of the figure, why didn't they just make a whole figure and charge the $100, and save people having to put the thing together?

Y'know... I agree with you. I have to imagine that part of the appeal of this kit is also the psychological consideration that, if you already have a Combiner Wars Optimus, it's sort of like you just put a $25 down payment on this thing. :)

I'm flat out shocked at how great this kit turned out, but $50 USD + shipping (and factoring the abominable Canadian-US exchange rate currently), it's just way too much for me... especially when I already own an MP10. How many G1-style Primes do I need in that size? :)

    This isn't a G1styled Prime tho, it's IDW styled.
