It’s an 8” seamless action figure, unless Mezco drastically changed expectations of what the Kaiju Collective line is (yeah, I didn’t remember this either).

I think it was a Heisei Godzilla at SDCC so this is new. I’ll check tomorrow to see what it has but I don’t have a lot of faith in seamless yet after seeing that one video where the guy cut open the Alien 1:12.

Yeah, the prototype was another Heisei Godzilla (I mention this in the Mezco thread) and it was a very forgettable announcement with zero fanfare. Quite concerned how a seamless construction works with such a bulky body. Are we looking as a very spacious outer skin? Is it dense and bulky and if so, how robust is the skeleton?

Eyes don't look right to me. Also, having a NFD gives me a kickstarter feel. Obviously those NFDs have to be refunded if there's not enough of them, so I wonder how this will turn out.

I think this looks really good. The eyes are sort of "fixed" instead of the wonkiness of the original suit.

And no seam lines, wow...I don't know if I will get this, but I might be interested in other suits.

BBTS has it up for preorder.

Not for me but it’s a nice idea if Mezco can manage to make it work.

I think that’s because the eyes aren’t wonky and pointing more outward like the original suit.

But other manufacturers haven't revised that, not all anyhow, and I accept it. To go b&w and all out on screen-accurate accessories, it makes this change more glaring.

Anyhow, I'm not saying this is a deal-killer. I could see myself owning this despite that. It's just not sitting well with me.

NRD you mean? Mezco has that for every single product they make. They forced retailers to do that a few years ago too since they wound up over-ordering One:12 figures and they went to clearance.

Was that in effect for the translucent GvsKG or Mothra sets? I thought I just saw POs open.

Either way, even if standard practice, I wonder if this will cross that line.

Dammit, I thought that was the next XL figure announced since it has no articulation.

Yes it’s always been in effect at their site for basically anything unless it’s in stock.

What line is there to cross? They don’t cancel items put up for preorder.

It has articulation, it’s a skin over metal skeleton.

Sucks about the wing stands, but I guess these are heavier than Bandai. Also they're not completely articulated but it least it can walk on them. Says prototype so hopefully more adjustments to be made.

The Kaiju Collection Godzilla looks great but I don't trust the tech yet. Besides, "my" Godzilla is more the Godzilla v Mothra or Destroy All Monsters suit. Hopefully by the time those get done in the line we'll know if the rubber body works and the kinks are ironed out.

    You sir, have great taste.

One of my favorite Godzilla suits and designs. Regret selling my shf of it now tbh but not super much.

Best to just wait till people have him in hand and with Mezco that can be a bit.
