Well thats it, I'm selling my SCV Monsterarts Ghidorah. I don't need to see any more than those head sculpts to tell that they've surpassed the SHMA version. Admittedly, that's kind of a low bar, that figure was disappointingly inaccurate and unfun to mess with.
I like Luminous as a channel, but that's kinda shady taking someone else's review video & just speaking over it. That said, I may just pick up this Rodan. I was never happy with the NECA or SHM version's wings, and this looks like a marked improvement over both. Too bad they couldn't have come up with a better way of connecting them to the body though, but that's a shared problem across all 3 versions.
The only way we’d have expectations set is if Mezco said so or had a tease to suggest as much, but we have nothing yet.
Did they announce a Megalon set before? Edit: Some bad news regarding Hiya (sourced by Toho Kingdom):
From the itinerary: Week 3 - February 21st - 23rd February 21st A monstrous sneak peek of this week's Toyz Fair Exclusive, coming your way! February 22nd The grand finale! Our third and final drop will be live on mezcotoyz.com at 1:00pm ET! Colossal Kaiju Quiz → 12pm ET - 4 random winners that answer all 10 questions correctly will receive a Kaiju Crate containing 5 Points XL Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters (1968) - Round 1 Boxed Set, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters (1968) - Round 2 Boxed Set, Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964): Mothra and Shobijin Twins Boxed Set, Godzilla vs Hedorah (1971) Three Figure Boxed Set, & Godzilla vs King Ghidorah Limited Edition Radioactive Battle Box! So it looks like we'll definitely get an exclusive of some kind. The first week is One:12, second is Living Dead Dolls, so third will probably be a 5 Points. I'm going to guess the exclusive is a solid color variant thing like they did for SDCC last year, but they'll be doing pipeline reveals each week.
Oooooh was just going by socials, not the itinerary. Hope for those interested that's what the 21st reveal is, just tricky when they do have a few monster-related licenses.
Because enough companies have been focusing on the Heisei era stuff. I like that Mezco is doing these 5 points sets in the Showa era.
That's not what I thought Radioguy meant... just a new Godzilla set in general. Post-Mechagodzilla as that's the last Godzilla set Mezco solicited, not in the film chronology.
My bad. Sorry, I thought you meant from the movies after the two MG films. Okay, for that, yes, I hope we see a Godzilla vs Megalon one this year that includes Godzilla, Gigan, Megalon, and JJ. I would also love a Godzilla 64 to get with my Mothra, a King Kong vs Godzilla set, Titanosaurus, and the final batch of the DAM monsters.
