That's a hell of a reach. 5 Points XL is like the X-Plus for that scale but with some added articulation. ReAction...not so much.

But I agree, I can't wait for more 5 Points XL. Unless it IS a cancelled line as some imply.

Yes, but they still fit in fine as a place holder. At least, Gigan, Megalon, and Moguera 57 do.

Moguera was what I referring to earlier as being kinda accurate. I'll give you him. Gigan in profile, almost. Megalon doesn't make that cut. But, then they aren't meant to.

Go back far enough, and I was really opposed to S7 ReAction G-stuff. I still kinda wonder if it steals shelf space from MMS (although that situation may have just changed dramatically), and makes folks think twice before even stocking Ultimates as these might shift more. Yet, they have grown on me for what they are, which is far more representative and accurate than deformed, chibi, or, blech, something like Funko Pops.

On that basis, I'm glad they are more plentiful than some of those other other options, but if they are somehow making Mezco think twice before putting out more 5 Points XL stuff, then I'd happily watch them melt in a fire.

    Maybe not the Mogeura, though.

I agree, but until Mezco gives me Megalon and Gigan, they're the best I can get in a scale that matches. I do have my eye on those upcoming 5inch vinyls Bandai is supposed to be releasing later on this summer though. If they match up with the Mezcos, I'll pick a few up, especially if they do G64.

I received the Hiya Rodan Flameborn. In comparison with the Godzillas, this Rodan is very disappointing in paint job.

Which is a bummer considering that’s the whole reason that repaint exists.

Yongary finally went over 500 backers. The targets left are all buildings.

Holy swivel hinges. This one has a lot more articulation than I thought. Her digitigrade ankle rockers on the front two pairs of limbs are funny.

Since Hiya loves repaints, I wonder if they'll go back and paint her pregnant belly on a future version of the figure.

Anyone had their Hiya preorders shipped to them from anywhere lately? I know BBTS is usually the late one but Entertainment Earth is also late on some of the preorders I made that were supposed to ship last month.

Ohhh this sounds like the old days when people every so often got in these strangely good Godzilla static figures from China that looked a lot like cheaper small X-Plus.

Meanwhile, doesn’t seem to be any issue continuing to preorder from places like the Godzilla store.

Not sure I understand. Was Hiya selling it overseas themselves or was a store buying them from Hiya and then selling them overseas? Because if it was the later, Hiya has nothing to do with that and Toho doesn't get to tell someone who they can and can not sell them to.

Hiya Toys line was originally China-exclusive before a deal was made to allow other non-Chinese stores to sell them. Show.Z was not one them.
