    No, that would be boring.

Glorious would be having a third alien race invade Pandora and have the Na´vi beg the humans for help. Now that would be glorious.

The humans turn to genetic engineering to create the perfect weapon to take down the Na'vi.

Combine General Magnus and Sso02V's ideas above. That would make for a hell of a sequel :) .

I still haven't seen this movie because by the time the showtimes are available, they are all still F*CKING sold out! I don't even want to see it that badly, but I would LIKE to see it in IMAX. Cause... Why not?

    *grumble*

the Na'vi could release a lollertoxin that causes a massive memory wipe in the humans. then they should train them as slaves to set up for the threequel.

I bet now Avatar will be easyily beaten with that romantic movie "Valentine's Day" and "Wolfman" next week and the week after that is another big director's movie: Scorese's "Shutter Island". Avatar's reign is over after only eight weeks.

What did everyone expect? 8 weeks is a long time. Not to mention, it wasn't like it was crushed. $32 mill for Dear John, and $23 mill for Avatar, $23 mill at 8 weeks is still better than a lot of movies do.

Yes, do try to see it in Imax, for that is the best way to see it. So here's hoping that you'll eventually find a showtime that won't be sold out.

Yes, I saw it today in full on IMAX and visually it was incredible. I've seen nothing like it before. The SFX are gobsmacking and the 3D stunning. IMAX is the way forward!

However the story was rather underwhelming, which is such a shame.

the fact that it got dethroned is not the problem, its the movie that accomplished that, thats bothering me. Dear John is one of those cliched, crappy acting, sappy love movies that has been told since the era of black & white. I wouldve preferred for Legion, Sherlock Holmes, or anything else to have dethroned it.

There is another level to this movie which I have not seen brought up yet, it's religious, so I didn't want to flat out say it on here...

8 Weeks. That is the difference. At some point any movie is going to slow down.

That being said, I FINALLY got the wife to go and see it and she liked it.

Actually, it was mentioned a little bit by myself and someone else in this thread. We discussed Cameron's worldview, but had to take it to PMs because of board rules.
