I used to get so mad at this show when I was a kid. "I hope this time, he turns into the Hulk for more than 3 minutes right at the end of the episode." Followed 60 minutes later by, "DANG IT!"
I wanted more hulk-outs as a kid too but now I understand why they couldn't do it. The network actually demanded they have 3 hulk-outs per episode and in response, Kenneth Johnson quit, saying it was impossible in terms of both story and execution. They didn't have the luxury of CGI back them, they had to paint a guy green which must have been a nightmare for even the few short scenes they were able to do with him. They did usually do 2 hulk-outs per episode though which now feels perfect to me.
