what do we think happened to them? we know they threw them on the floor at the omega lock but do you think they survived the explosion or were they destroyed? might the decepticons have them now? if so they will be even more powerful.

the star saber and the forge of solus prime might be recovered from the wreckage of the base. but what does everyone think?

I think the relics are scattered from the force of the explosion, the immobilizer is probably broken again though.

The Forge and the Star Saber were either destroyed with the base or are lying among the wreckage.

The Immobilizer, the Polarity Gauntlet, the Apex Armor, the Phase Shifter, and the Dark Star Saber are either lying on Cybertron or were destroyed in the explosion.

The Resonance Blaster is still in the Decepticons' hands.

    - Tox En, Spark Extractor, Shield Generator, Omega Lock/Keys - Confirmed destroyed.
    - Red En - Most destroyed, remainder consumed by Starscream.
    - Phase Shifter, Apex Armor, Immobilizer, Polarity Gauntlet, Dark Star Saber - Possibly destroyed/lost in the explosion on Cybertron.
    - Star Saber, Forge of Solus Prime - Possibly destroyed/lost in the destruction of the Autobot base.
    - Resonance Blaster - Last seen in Soundwave's possession, presumably intact.

I hope they're gone, as I think the Transformers are at their best when they're using things not of magic or godly powers.

When Optimus destroyed the Omega Lock he leveled the area as well as the surrounding area, the relics were pretty much at the epicenter of the blast. I figure the Prime's arm that Megatron had was vaporized in the explosion along with his new toy, the Dark Star Saber.

The other relics were not creations of the original 13, but of regular Cybertronians, most Decepticon weapons, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they were destroyed--Megatron destroyed the Spark Extractor himself.

The Starsaber imitted a protective force field that not even Megatron could get through, so I wouldn't be too surprised if godly weapons such as Solus Prime's Forge or the Star Saber survived the blast. Still, I hope we never see them again.

I'm more curious to learn more about what Alpha Trion called the most powerful relic of them all, Smokescreen! The key in Smokescreen was no more special than the other three. Was he saying the key in Smokescreen was the most powerful, because Smokescreen could fight back, which in turn protected the key hidden in him or is there something more to Smokescreen yet to be explained?

I really hope the Forge and the Star Saber come back in Season 3. The Star Saber is wicked sweet, and I always liked the idea of the forge - a device that can make almost anything. Plus it just looks cool.

I imagine the other four relics got blown up.

The phase shifter was cool as Smokescreen's signature weapon, but it was WAAAAY too convenient. The polarity gauntlet and the immobilizer were one-trick ponies, so they can stay gone. The only one of those four I will really miss is the Apex Armor.

I'm of the opinion that if we don't see it destroyed on screen or that said item has been confirmed by either a character or show writer as having been destroyed, then the items are still around to be used when the script writers want them to be.

That said, the question I would like to ask is, if the Dark Star Saber is powerful enough to destroy the Star Saber, shouldn't it have survived the destruction of the Omega Lock? Also, because of the power of the Dark Star Saber, did Megatron really need the arm of the Fallen Prime to use it?

I thought that was explained as Alpha Trion not having time to launch the final Key to Earth and thus stuck it inside Smokescreen to keep it out of Decepticon hands.

It would be a waste if they are just gone. I really liked Smokescreens's Phase Shifter.

And besides, what was the point of an entire season of relic-hunting when all the goddamn relics are destroyed/lost in 1 episode? Especially the last episode. This means that almost all the important things from season 2 (except for Smokescreen and Starscream returning) are being dismissed. No relics, no Dreadwing, Wheeljack still not part of the team,...

    Pretty poor writing.

Yeah, I got that. But why didn't he just tell Optimus that Smokescreen had the key? It wasn't as if that coded message would have worked for anyone other than Optimus anyway. The four keys were identical in every way, one wasn't more powerful than the others. So why, if Alpha Trion was referring to the keys guardian, did he do so in code?

Because Alpha Trion forgot to mention it :p

Anyway, as for the other relics, as others have said, they're back on Cybertron, either destroyed by the explosion or still there, just chilling. Megatron might get a space bridge back there to see if he can pick up the leftovers.

Nope. If this show does anything, it's do amazing build ups with amazingly shitty payoffs. Even Armada with it's endless mini-con hunting at least understood how to keep plotlines going what with the Mini-con Superweapons constantly changing hands, shifting character alliances, and Sideways playing both sides for idiots, and then having proper conclusions to those plot lines instead of just killing off characters and McGuffins the exact moment they weren't needed anymore.
