Just came back. The Good - The intro feels very Watchmen like, to me. This retro feeling. It's nice. - The action sequences. - The 3D. - The Autobots and Decepticons having more lines. - I liked Shia's acting very very much. You can really feel he's pissed or sad. Well done. - I liked Brains and Wheelie better than I expected I would. - The Sound FX. - The score. - Don't know how to say this, but I kind of love how much I hate Sentinel. Yes, hating an Autobot. He's supposed to be a good guy, but he is mean son a bee-otch. - The story is acceptable for me. The whole moon landing thing, and the Autobots having to leave Earth etc. etc. Will get back to this. The Bad - Why add all these new characters like Q and Dino, and not give them a little bit more screen time? You barely get to know 'Q', you can't even feel sorry when he dies. The only thing I like is how he dies, he's begging for his life. Same goes for Soundwave and Shockwave. You don't get to see 'em much. - The Autobots leaving Earth feels very shitty (so that is good), but it lasts so short you think 'what whas even the use of it?'. Yes, they had to trick the Decepticons, but I thought it could have lasted longer. - Am I spoiled or did I see way too few transformations? The Ugly - The ending is so sudden. Prime just kills Megs, Sentinel explains his motives one more time, and Prime kills him. That's all folks, now fuck on off home. Eh what? - In fact, the more I think about it, the more I think it sucks that an Autobot just screws over fellow Autobots. I can't see Sentinel Prime as a hero, or as an awesome character. That's it. My main gripe is still, like every movie, that Transformers looks and feel way to cartoony sometimes. The film starts out with a somewhat darker atmosphere than the first two films, yet, it also ends up feeling cartoony all over again. Please for the reboot, let Nolan do it or something. The movie was enjoyable, and I would like to see it again, but this is just stuff that comes to mind. First impressions.
