Anyone else despise the new iTunes as much as I do? The things that bother me the most about it are that the filmstrip/cover flow view are now gone, the little album artwork viewer that used to be on the left sidebar beneath your playlists is gone, and I absolutely cannot get rid of that effing iCloud Download column in the track lists (no matter how many times I uncheck it, it always comes back after a while). Has anyone found any ways to get around any of these problems?

Refuse to update because of it. I know I'll have to sooner or later, but I pick later.

I don't use iTunes on the computer. I used it on my iPhone and iPad.

Ugh, just got home for christmas and the family computer has the new iTunes. It's not that bad, but I reallllly wish they'd kept the cover flow, or at least the picture of the album at the bottom, that's going to bug me.
    Also it's incredibly bland looking

EDIT: The new grid view is kind of nice though, although I never used grid view so I have no idea if it's actually different
EDIT: Ok, it took me bloody ages to find out how to search for stuff, why couldn't they just leave the power search in?

I really enjoy the new iTunes. It's very clean and fluid, and because of the removal of some of the features (that I didn't use), it makes it run much faster on my Windows XP computer.

I miss the album viewer and the space available number when syncing. I like to try to fit every little bit in.

The new Itune 11.0.0 took some time to get used to but I kind of like it. I am just not happy with how fast the update is already here. Can they stop updating this effing thing every few weeks?

EDIT: Great, for the second time in 3 weeks I have to DL ITune from scratch after the update keeps failing. I am not going to update the next patch for at least a month after it's out. This is so effing ridiculous.

Shit, I had forgotten I downloaded this, but I never started it up until now. Yeah it's faster but it's less user friendly that's for damn sure. Everything I needed was right there, especially when I needed to fiddle with the album's options. Is there a way to expand the info for separate songs? Like when I need to create an AAC version, how do I tell what size the song is without having to click on every individual song?

EDIT: Okay, was able to add in the sidebar and status bars, but I need a more practical interface when viewing an individual album, not just a list of songs.

EDIT 2: Okay, I have to use the songs view, then open the column browser and add what I need. From there I can edit the songs and see clearly everything about said songs without having to click on every single one. Annoying but manageable. How exactly is this simplified?

I always hated iTunes. Winamp is much better. And it leaves my music collection alone.

After several days of frustration trying to install the 11.0.1 update, I finally gave up and reinstall the 11.0.0 iTune instead and this time it works. Given this lesson I am not going to update my iTune for a very long time.
