This actually makes sense if you think about it. If one of them turns traitor they cannot identify the other members and hurt the organization
Nah, more like Brainmasters. The original toys had you put the "Brainmaster" in the chest anyway, so it works out. The alt. mode has a freaking gun on it and it already looks like a modified Hummer, not exactly sure what else could make it more military grade beyond an 8 bit camo deco. Also, in the teaser where we see Silas roll Breakdown's alt. mode window down to peer at some dude, it looks like he's getting into some ind of military installation, so maybe the alt. mode already qualifies? Brilliant comment Considering they never take the masks off, they suddenly become very easy to find. "Yeah, my "old buds" never take off their full face masks with the amber goggles, you can spot them coming from a mile away!"
Im sure Knockout will be jumpin for joy when he finds out.. The coolest possible end for Airachnid would be to Have KO pull an Island of Dr Moreau number on her by strapping her to his medical table and slowly dissecting her like a bug That would be true if they worked for MECH 24/7. However they might just wear their highly noticeable getups whenever they are on MECH duty. Then they all go home, change out of them and do whatever else they do in their lives without anyone else knowing.
I am seriously curious if Silasdown makes it past this episode. This is something they have hinted at a ways back and it would seem odd to end it in one episode. BUT! If he did die and it was by KO then I won't complain.
I agree with this. The last thing they need is anyone growing a conscience and spilling the beans to the military. They'd all be tried, convicted and executed inside a week for high treason.
Hyping something up only for it to be written out of the story is more or less the MO for Prime at this point. Airachnid? Make her the big rival to arcee (with more dead partner angst thrown in) and let her kill Breakdown, and then go and freeze her after she more or less hands the Insecticons to Megatron. Cliffjumper? Make him one of the big "three" characters hyped for the series premiere, and then kill him off five minutes into the episode, and then kill him AGAIN later on.
Didn't Galvatron speak of Ripping those creepy creatures right out of the Decepticon Headmasters and Targetmasters ? Maybe Megatron will fulfil that promise all be in another time and place. It's nice that the Breakdown toy has an opening chest compartment it would make for a nice potential display piece to show the chest open and Silas inside... along with a new head. I'm still wondering about this Eye situation Breakdown's eye was stolen - it was then used to bait a trap for the Autobots (or was that a fake - I think it might have been?) then the eye (or one made by copying the original) was installed in the prototype which may or may not have been made into Nemesis Prime. So we know they can make new eyes - but is that the original Breakdown eye replaced into it's original spot ? or a new one ? Darn is that smashed up Deco going to make ideal Radicon fodder when Silas Breakdown's toy comes out.
'Dat clip. 'Dat animation. 'Dat clip. What does it matter whether or not the clip is bogged down with dialogue or merely action? Or both? A clip is a clip. Humourous, but it also makes sense. Almost like Reservoir Dogs. This, this, this, this. +1 for the Freaks reference.
One more day, then I can stop wondering if BD is gone for good or not. And whether Silas will make it past this episode.
I was thinking about something similar. We know that Silas Breakdown has the eye-patch head and a new grill, after seeing the clip, I started thinking "maybe AM-24 will have Silas molded onto the underside of Breakdown's chest". It most likely won't, but I personally think it be cool and creepy if it did.
So THATS why Breakdown has a fabulously large rack, in case a small naked beat up man wants to sit in there. All makes sence now! Animation looks excellent here! Really nice job giving off a creepy effect.
