I think it's a power generator - a reactor - but some other users disagree. What makes me think it's a reactor is that it rotates and glows orange; it's obviously not a purposeless hole or a Spark chamber.

What do you guys think it is?

Maybe moreso a symbol that Galvatron is basically immortal, since he has no spark/soul.

That's because it generates heat, which is something that a reactor/ power generator does.

Well Prime's Sword is hot too and it must be able to withstand great heat. Whatever it is, it must be very powerful since the energon sword is not that easy to break

For me it's very symbolical, this hole is just empty and Galvatron is soulless

 

its a physical plothole it is the gathering place of all the things that should have been in the plot of past present and future bayformers films they swirl around in there and that is galavatron has no fear because he is embedded with anything important or helpful .

that or KSI watched the iron man trilogy during his construction and gave him an arc reactor

(for the record I like bayformers and haven't seen Aoe yet because it hasn't been released here yet)
